chapter 22

It's the first saturday of spring break,birds singing and more people were seen going outdoors.
The sun was shining brightly,flowers were sprouting and the colourful trees becoming more bright and alive with the roads cleared of snow.
I missed the sun as we bid bye at the winter season which is nolonger with us. We ushered a new season with a bit warmth.
What's more beautiful than kicking the spring season with my sister's wedding.
I stood at the cathedral entrance stairs as we all alighted from this luxury black cars which drove us to church.
I was part of the bridegroom men worn some luxury handmade black italian tuxedos. Benjamin,manuel,miguel were part of the bridegroom men too with two other Rafael's friends.
Yesterday night was a crazy one as rafael male friends descended in hopetown for bachelor party,i heard my sister too hosted a bachelorette party with her female friends whom most are from newyork city and rafael female relatives joined too. The bachelor and bachelorette party were hosted at different clubs. Yesterday was my first time tasting alcohol which tasted bitter in my lips,i didn't like it. Unlike manuel,benjamin and miguel seemed to get along with alcohol but unfortnately for them rafael didn't allow them to get past one glass and he sent us away with his other teen cousins as the adults get into their thing.
We all looked fine in our black tuxedos. Guest from all over america came and some as far as mexico and this were not ordinary guests. They were top de la cream of our society. Even the blakes were invited.
Rafael seemed impatiently waiting for his bride. He looked handsome just like the hot men in telemundo soap operas. Am glad that he got along with my sister,they make great couple.
"They are here! Lets get ready? Get in church guys." Rafael best man announced as we all got in the church while some beautiful angelic hymn played by church choir.
We majesticaly walked to the altar and stood behind the bridegroom and bestman.
I peruzed my eyes at the congregation and spotted elijah with his parents and his elder brother came too. Elijah winked at me when he noticed i was looking directly at him which made me blush and smiled away.
"Give us a break dahh!..Its your sister wedding and not your lovy lovy davy moment." Miguel whispered to me when he noticed what happened.
"Stop being a noisy witch." I said back while we both chuckled.
"Shhhhh..! Shut up! We in the church!" Manuel hushed us as miguel hilariously roled his eyes.
Miguel is the type who can make you loose control by laughter. He is realy funny.
Manuel father joined us when he heard the bride is at the church door as all eyes turned to the church door trying to get a glimpse of the bride behind the magical white veil.
There were some pageboys,flower girls and some bridemaids leading the way. They all looked elegant and beautiful especially the flowergirls and pageboys who looked adorable like fairies.
My sister was walked down the isle by my father who was proud of her daughter's day,marrying her off to her soon to be husband. His tuxedo had some african print in it. Apparently the hernandez found themselves in unfamiliar custom when they were requested earlier to pay for bride price,it was traditional custom to show appreciation from the groom family,thanking the bride family for raising and taking care of their future wife.
The hernandez brought a wooden box filled with gold bars,it realy shocked us.
My sister reached the altar and her white wedding gown was out of this world adorned with diamonds and some little precious stones. The groom,bestman and rafael father approached my father with angela with a brief conversation and my dad handed over angela to rafael after whispering something to her.My dad went and sat next to my beautiful mum who is almost crying out of joy.
Angela and rafael proceeded to the altar where the priest was waiting as the wedding ceremony began with exchange of wedding vows.
After wearing the wedding rings and being declared husband and wife the best part came when rafael had to lift the laced white wedding veil covering angela's face. People waited for that moment to see angela's face.
Rafael lifted the veil and kissed her as people clapped and cheered. Then angela and rafael turned to face the congregation.
"Wow!" I said to myself. Angela is realy beautiful,she is no longer the simple common lady now. She is refined elegant beautiful lady. Her pose,her smile,the way she waived her hand at us was so elegant. She had minimum makeup and her tiara too was adorned with diamonds and pearls on it.
She was the queen here and everybody was awed by her beauty.
Later we headed to the reception at hernandez mansion and knowing hernandez who can throw some extravagant lavish parties so well this was no different. They did a top notch setup with perfect decorum at their open field colourful garden.
You could here sounds of trumpets,guitors,violins of mariachi band playing.
People sang and danced.
"We are family now." Manuel said to me smiling.
"Nothing different..our two families have always been treating each other as one family." I said to him.
"We just cemented it..Now my late grandpa wish has been fulfilled." Manuel said.
"Noooo please hahaha!..Don't bring your late grandpa in this talk." I said laughing remembering how funny and dramatic manuel's grandpa insisted rafael and angela to get married on the first day.
"He is happy now hahaha..besides i noticed your boyfriend has been stealing glances at you." Manuel said to me.
"Elijah?..Where is he?" I asked manuel as i looked around the invited guests.
"There...i think he feels jealous of me talking to you closely..if only looks could kill I could be dead by now hahaha!" Manuel said laughing as he motioned to me where elijah is standing with his parents talking to other guests.
"You silly!" I said pulling manuel's ear.
"Awww!..Whats that for?" Manuel yelled.
"For being a jerk!..stop making my boyfriend a villain." I said as i looked over at elijah who smiled back at me.
"Excuse for a second..am gonna say hello to them." I said to Manuel as i took a step leaving before finding him standing in front of me blocking my way.
"Where the hell do you think you goin?" Manuel asked.
"Didn't I jus told you now?" I asked back.
"It's family time not boyfriend time,you need to familiarize yourself with your new members,we've got lot's of introduction to do." Manuel said. He sound reasonable but Manuel's family is kinda huge and they are a closely bonded family so any new member has to be well introduced on a personal level.
"It's exhausting...we've been doin that for the past three days." I complained.
"Just text or call your boyfriend from your phone coz we have alot to do." Manuel said.
"Whatsup guys!" Miguel came from behind us.
"Where have you been?" I asked miguel.
"There was this cute guy hitting on me,so was checking out his lines." Miguel said throwing his hands in the air.
"Hey you!....This ain't a hookup joint!..Its your cousin's wedding!" Manuel said to miguel.
"Duuh!...I know!...It's not my fault he couldn't resist this." Miguel replied motioning us to his body while rolling his eyes as i laughed.
"Fuck!" Manuel said.
"We need to get rid of him." I said to Miguel.
"I knooooww....he is fucking boring and controling." Miguel replied
"Only Liz is our hope." I said
"Yeah where is she anyway?" Miguel asked.
"Lets get our fucking asses at the table am hungry!..and you can get rid of me after that." Manuel said as we walked and settle at the table set specifically for us.
"Cuz when you goin to introduce me to your girlfriend?" Miguel asked manuel.
"Never!" Manuel replied as I chuckled.
"Come on...I won't tell how moron you are." Miguel said rolling his eyes.
"Mmhh i will." I said to miguel.
"Don't you dare ike!" Manuel warned me.
"Why?" I asked.
"Coz I don want you to!" Manuel replied.
"Fuck you!...don want me to meet my future sister in law?" Miguel angrily said.
"She is here i will show you the pretty girl who captured manu's heart." I said to miguel smiling.
"Awwwwwh!...Do that sis." Miguel said as manuel blushed away.
"Ahaaaa...you blushing." I said in a teasing way as Miguel laughed.
"You two are unbelievable." Manuel said.
The guests were served with different drinks and delicasy of their choices which were provided in the menu. We ate while we chat with each other.
In the late afternoon. I, benjamin,sophia,miguel,manuel,cecelia,philip,elizabeth,elijah and some manuel's cousins met up and introduced ourselves to each other and chat about our lives and as usual elijah rarely talked but laughed or smiled at some funny conversations. Miguel was over the moon with Elizabeth after introducing her as Manuel's girlfriend while Manuel always gave Miguel a look of don't embarrass me.
In the evening angela and rafael changed their clothes to evening gown and tuxedo for rafael and got ready for ball in the mansion ballroom.
Elijah and i found each other and decided to get out of the busy mansion and headed to the gardens. We walked down in the vast garden of the Hernandez while holding each other hands.
"You now a family with hernandez family." Elijah said to me.
"But it's my sister who is now a member of that family and not the rest of my family." I replied.
"Huh!..Babe you don't understand,marriage like this is between two families,do you think Hernandez would accept your sister if they didn't see your family is fit for them?" Elijah asked.
"I dunno but we ain't a wealthy family." I said.
"There must be something good in your family that they loved it." Elijah said to me.
"Mmh maybe." I said.
"Wait." Elijah said to me as he took out his iphone from his trouser pocket. He scrolled then i heard his phone playing a certain melody which is unfamiliar to me. It was a piano melody.
"Mmh...what's the name of that melody?" I asked.
"Heart lullaby." He replied as the light from his phone screen brightens up his smiling face while the slow tempo melody fills the air.
"By whom?" I asked looking at his eyes deeply.
"By me." He replied bending down and placing his iphone on the ground and stepped closely towards me.
"You joking huh..since when did you play piano?" I asked.
"It's mine now... i bought it from its composer." He said as he wrapped his both arms around my waist and leaned his head down towards mine.
"What?..really?" I asked.
"Yeah..i paid a certain musician to compose a beautiful piece for us." He said as he licked my cheek while i chuckled at the tickling sensation.
"Hahah come on stop licking me...someone might walk on us." I said as i pulled my head away from his.
"Eeh we got nothing to hide..besides people are having fun in the ballroom to come out in the garden...unless they doing what we doing now." He said to me as he leaned his head against mine giving me a peck on my forehead.
"Hahaha thanks,i love this heart lullaby piece." I said to him as i kissed his cheek while my arms were around his his shoulders.
"Realy?..am glad then." He said while making us swing side ways gently to the melody.
"Its soothing." I said to him.
"I'll send you the melody then." He said as he licked my lower lip and we ended up sucking each other lips while slow dancing to the heart lullaby melody. We didn't realize the melody ended till miguel walked on us.
"There you are lovebirds...Isaac!" I heard miguel voice.
"Ohh fuck!..not him." Elijah cursed as we shifted our attention to him,i tried to get off from elijah's holding but he didn't let me.
"Like i said we got nothing to hide." Elijah whispered to me.
"We've been looking for you but i see you been busy with your blondie hunk." Miguel said as he approached us closely with another teen boy of our age. He doesn't seem like a relative. He is white with short pomade dark haired combed to the back. He is cute almost standing at elijah's height,he seemed to be a rich kid too.
"Why you looking for me?" I asked miguel but before he could answer Manuel,Elizabeth,Benjamin,Sophia,Philip and Cecelia appeared,they seem like they were trailing behind Miguel.
"There some family stuff that you need to attend." Miguel said to me as he looked and smiled at how we embraced each other with elijah.
"Ohhh you two looking adorable!" Sophia said with delightment as I leaned on Elijah's chest.
"Man you better be my bro in law too." Benjamin said.
"Hopeful bro." Elijah replied.
"Aint't you going to introduce us to your friend?" Elijah asked miguel which we all didn't expect that from him.
"Ohh!..My bad!..this is john from chicago..my friend." Miguel said to us as he rolled his eyes.
"Friend indeed..nice to meet you john." I said stressing the word friend.
John smiled and blushed while elijah and miguel chuckled cause we all knew that john is the latest Miguel's catch.
"Nice to meet you guys...like he said am john...john parkson." John said to us. We heard a phone ringing on the ground,it was Elijah's phone.
Elijah bent down to pick his iphone and started talking to the person calling him.
"Has he been giving you a hard time?" I asked John.
"Me hard time!" Miguel interrupted.
"Yeah...he makes me laugh alot and my ribs are in pain." John said smiling and saw Miguel's face having a gratitude expression.
"Awwwwh...that's cute." Cecelia said.
"Am glad you gay coz you wud have snatched my Cece from me." Philip said throwing his arm over Cecelia as we all laughed.
"Guys will there be fireworks?" Elijah asked as he came back from his phone call.
"Yeah that's why we came for Isaac and it's about to start anytime." Manuel answered.
"Is that what you call family stuff?" I asked miguel.
"Duhhh!..it's a family tradition to blast fireworks on wedding nights." Miguel replied rolling his eyes.
"My mum asked me to meet her at our parking space after fireworks..will leave shortly after the firework display." Elijah said to me.
"Then i guess we should be headed to the firework spot." Manuel said to us.
The wedding evening ended up with beautiful firework display Which coloured the night sky.
The wedding was felt in the whole of hopetown and trended.
"Hello Mr Blake and Mrs Blake thank you for coming to our wedding." I said greeting them and thanking.
"Hello son." Mr.blake replied.
"Ohh there you are you two and darling we couldn't miss this wedding." Mrs Blake replied.
"You brought us our boy back?" Elijah's dad said in a teasing tone.
"Yeah in one piece sir." I replied as Elijah chuckled.
"Has he misbehaved or given you a hard time?" Elijah's mother asked me.
"Mum!..come on!..am always nice to Isaac." Elijah said.
"Very nice ma'am." I added.
"See?" Elijah said as his parents smiled at us.
"Isaac you haven't met my other son and his wife before." Mr.blake motioned behind us and turned to see an elder version of Elijah walking towards us with a beautiful lady,they were early twenties or mid twenties.
"You must be Isaac,I heard alot bout you...am William the elder brother of Elijah and this is my wife Audrey." William said stretching his hand for a shake.
"Nice to meet you I said back." and turning to Audrey for a hand shake.
"Hello nice to meet you." Audrey said to me.
"You look beautiful..Nice to meet you too." I said back and Audrey started laughing.
"He is Isaac my brother's boyfriend." William added.
"And charming too." Audrey added.
"Don't be a stranger and I guess will see each other often." William said.
"I'll keep that in mind." I said.
"Guys our ride is here." Mr.blake said as I saw four black SUVs driven Infront of us and it's obvious the first car and the last car are of security detail while the second and third carry the Blake clan.
We bid goodbye as Elijah reluctantly stayed back waiting for all his family to aboard in their respective cars.
"Hey goodnight my princess." He said stepping close to me cupping my face and started kissing my lips which I gladly reciprocate.
"Goodnight my prince." I said back as he got into the second car in the convoy and they left.
I walked back to the mansion and stayed with my new family members.
I slept in manuel's room with miguel.
The next day we woke up late,it was almost noon.
We bathed and had brunch before leaving to my home.
Angela and rafael had planned to fly tomorrow to france for their honey moon.
My parents revealed that the hernandez gifted us a luxury huge mansion in western side of hopetown and they wanted us to move in.
Benjamin and i were excited but my parents declined moving out thou accepted the house deed after being pressured by hernandez.
It wasn't long before manuel and miguel came to our home late afternoon and some of his cousins and ended up driving together to shopping mall and spending time at St.peters park and miguel actually revealed to me he had sex with John before he flew back to Chicago with his family.
He seemed fascinated with him,they seemed good together and got along but with the long distance and Miguel's more open attitude to having sex it is unlikely that their relationship will kick off.
