Draco sat across from dark-skinned Slytherin. His eyes scanning the chessboard with precision, and unbothered patience. A smirk enlightens upon his lips, and he moves his knight in an 'L' shape motion. Acquiring Blaise's beloved King. Blaise frowns at the loss, rolling his eyes, and sitting back while crossing his arms.

Draco backed away, tossing the white chess piece in the air and catching it in his hand, smiling at his proper victory.

"I win," He said.

"I don't get it" Blasie sighed, "How do you always win?"

"Experience" Draco replied in a small tone, gathering all the chess pieces, and placing them in their proper box.

"I have plenty of experience. As a matter of fact, you're the one that taught me all there is to know about playing this hoary board game, tricks and all" Blasie admitted, throwing his long arms in the air with exasperated gestures.

"Correction, I didn't tell you all there is to know about the game" Draco smirked, "I simply informed you on how to play the game, I had no means of telling you about the tricks "

"So tell me! I want to feel the excitement, and the victory of beating you in a chess game" Blaise admitted with a truthful tone. His arms crossing over each other once again.

"No can do. It's forbidden to tell those unworthy of knowing the right way to play the game" Draco replied, a bubbly laugh erupting from his lungs.

Blaise frowned, "How can I be deemed worthy then?" he rose a brow.

"It depends"

Blaise thought for a solid moment.

"What if we make a bet?" He suggested, "You win I do your homework for the entire year, You lose you have to tell me everything you know about the game. Deal?" He extended his hand, waiting for Draco's to grasp his.

Draco sat in the green velvet chair, his mind pondering on the idea of making a bet. All for the sake of wanting to know the secrets of the game for chess. Blaise was quite the ambitious Slytherin, and his actions always seemed to get him what he wanted or occasionally needed. In the end, the bet didn't seem all that bad. He knew whatever Blaise had in store wasn't going to be a challenge.

"Deal" Draco shook hands with his best friend, "What do you have in mind?"

A smirk danced on Blaise's lips, and he leaned forward, "You" He pointed at Draco, "Have to get Ms. Y/L" He then pointed to Y/n who sat in the small alcove reading a novel, "To fall in love in with you".

Draco looked stunned, his mouth unhinged, and his expression dumbfounded. He was wrong, this was a challenge. Y/n wasn't stupid, she was smart, cunning, and quite the badass. She's made it quite clear, that she could care-less about what anybody thinks of her. The confidence in her high self-esteem was portraited to those around her. And even with all that, the boys just keeping falling. Especially saint potter. The first time he'd seen Y/n after she'd matured, he was practically drooling. Although Y/n found it quite alarming, and weird.

"Your joking" He finally said.

Blaise shook his head, "I want that knowledge, Draco" He said.
