Everyone was soon to follow after that, my father included. I tried not to panic since

knew everyone was still breathing just unconscious. But the only person who was still standing was the one other person who didn't drink, Connor. I looked at him and was puzzled as to why he looked so calm.

"What's wrong with you!" anger that I didn't know I had came rushing out.

"I'm the only one in my family who made it here, I have no one to worry about. If I die no one will care so why should i?"

I was thrown aback by his answer. But I didn't have time to dwell on that. I ran over to my father and smacked him across the face. I was hoping that would wake him up, but I had no such luck. I called him over and over again until the night turned pitch black.

I woke up shocked that I had managed to fall asleep. My back ached due to the hard

ground. Everything that had happened the previous night came rushing back to me. I quickly returned to my fathers side to find that he was gone. I couldn't take it anymore. I curled up onto the ground next to him. I cried for what felt like forever until I felt the soft touch of a hand. Connor was standing above me with his hair drifting in the soft breeze.

"I know this is hard but we have to figure something out. I already searched the spaceship and found the rest of the supplies. We have enough food and water for 2-3 months."

"There is no way to go back, is there" I asked even though I already knew the answer. He just slowly shook his head at me.

"If we have enough food for 2 months then why the heck do we need to figure it all out now?"

"Fine take a day off, we should go back to the tent and get to know each other. As far as we know, we were the only humans left alive.

We spent the rest of the day talking and getting to know each other. Even though I knew

it wasn't a good time, I started to feel something for him. At least if we were the only people alive then i won't have much competition.

It had started to smell so i kept asking Connor to go out and do something with the

bodies. At first he had refused, but I had asked him so many times that he gave up and finally moved them into a small clearing in the woods. You could still smell them when the wind blew but it was better. I was too horrified to go out and possibly see my father again. I managed to stay as far away from the clearing as possible. I had gotten used to the heavy feeling in my chest knowing that it was because I had lost everyone I ever cared about. I knew I should talk to someone about it but the only person I could was Connor. But Connor had lost everyone too. And I figured his experience was worse. At least i had the chance to be happy with my dad.

I had decided that once i can get rid of the feeling in my chest i would give my dad a

proper funeral. But i wasn't sure when that would be.
