My boyfriend, Tom, lives back home in Birmingham so I usually ring him every night. I miss him so much but he goes to a different university than me and he is a year older.
------------
Me and Cara helped Lauren unpack all her belongings quickly as we were excited to go exploring. We all shared a room even though it was a 3 bedroom apartment; it was pretty big.It was really sunny so we decided to take advantage of this unusual, very unusual, weather because we never see sun in England.
As I was in a rush, I placed on my oversized tartan shirt and tied it into a crop top, with my slightly high waisted, white shorts. Throwing my hair into a messy bun, I slipped on my light blue converse.
Cara had a scarlet red, loose dress that hung freely around her body frame. Her hair was slightly curled and petite white bow was clipped in.
Lauren had a white tank top with an American flag print which was tucked into a black, leather skater skirt. It came to just above the knee.
Once we had got everything sorted, we started running down the corridor of our block and running down the stairs. We are probably the most annoying neighbours ever but oh well.
We stepped outside and soaked up all the sun rays beaming down on our free bodies. Cara ran on forwards towards this social area or something and me and Lauren strolled behind, admiring campus. Soon, we had caught up with Cara and were walking in a line, every so often breaking it to let people past. I was turned to the left, looking at this huge water fountain, spraying water everywhere from two spouts on each side. Suddenly, I felt someone bump into me and I felt pressure on my foot, I automatically turned around and said sorry. I don't know why I said sorry because he was the one who stood on my foot but I guess if I was looking the right way, I would have seen him.
"Sorry" he said before quickly turning back to his friends, clearly laughing at something they were already talking about. He had a strong American accent which I could hear straight away.
"It's alright" I spoke softly whilst dusting excess, dry mud off my pastel shoes.
There were 4 boys, 2 at the back, 2 at the front. One of the boys at the back was tall with dark hair and the other the complete opposite, small with blonde hair. The 2 at the front both had dark hair and one wore a backwards snap back whilst the other wore it forwards. All 4 weren't bad looking and I could tell that Lauren and Cara thought so too. They stepped beside me and just looked at the boys stood in front of us. I think they were a bit mesmerised, I looked at them and rolled my eyes, turning away but got stopped by a voice.
"I'm Jack" The small blonde one from the back weaved to the front as I span back around to see who he was talking to. The other boys just watched him, they watched us.
He just smiled and I couldn't help but smile myself because it was pretty cute.
"Hey, I'm Cara" Cara almost whispered but it was just louder enough for him to hear.
Jack's eyes squinted as he concentrated on Cara for a second almost as if he was trying to read her thoughts before turning back around.
"I'm Jack" The tall dark haired boy stepped forward and winked at Lauren, I knew she would be excited so I watched her expression. WAIT WHAT? Are they joking? Or are they actually both called Jack?
Lauren didn't seem to notice."HI! I'M LAUREN" She blurted causing me to burst out laughing, I think she got a little excited.
"Two Jacks?" I said whilst furrowing my eyebrows.
"Mhm" The tall Jack shrugged.
"That must be a little bit confusing" smiling, I arched my eyebrows.
"It is" One of the others boy chimed in.
"So do I call you small Jack and tall Jack? Or blonde Jack and brunette Jack?" I half smiled, cheekily
"I'm taller than you" small Jack replied, looking a little bit hurt.
"Sorry but it doesn't take much to be taller than me" I replied with sympathy.
"Just call me Johnson" He said, pretending to be mad. Or maybe he was mad?
"Okay"
"I'm Jack- Nah, I'm joking. I'm Sammy" One of the boys from the front joked.
"I don't think I could cope with another Jack" Cara sighed dramatically obviously kidding as she put emphasis on 'another'
"Neither could I, two is enough" Lauren smiled at tall Jack.
I looked at the remaining boy that had stood on my foot and I waited for a name. He was tapping on his phone, so Sammy slapped him in the chest causing him to look up and acknowledge us.
"What? Oh - Er.. My name is Nate" he stuttered a little, realising he didn't make the great first impression.
"Nate?" I repeated to make sure I had heard him properly.
"It's short for Nathan" he added, locking his phone.
"Oh right. I'm Dani" I laughed a little.
"Dani?" He repeated to mock me, so I played along.
"Its short for Danielle" I smiled, copying him.
"Ahh right" He smirked.
"What year are you in?" Cara asked, I'm presuming she was directing it at Johnson, he caught on and replied.
"We're in our first year here. You?"
"First" She said shortly because Cara was shy around Johnson.
As if on cue, I felt pressure around my waist and I almost jumped out of my skin, my feet were ripped off the ground and I heard a familiar laugh. I was spun round.
