James and the boys were getting on really well and it wasn't awkward, really. At 12, we all started to get hungry but we were a little tired so we just ordered a takeaway. Pizza, to be exact🍕, we ordered 3. Collecting the pizzas from the door, I walked back to 7 excited, hungry faces glaring at me as they watched my hands open each box. Lauren, Cara, James and me were sat on the main sofa whilst Sammy was sat on a single chair and Jack and Jack were on a separate sofa.

Standing up, I walked over to my room.
"Jack?" I asked, shouting from the other side of the apartment because I needed someone to reach something from my wardrobe. I know Johnson isn't 'tall' but he's taller than me and that's all I needed. Besides, it's not like I'm going to ask the other Jack.

"Yeah?" Both Jacks said in unison.

"Ugh, I meant Johnson. Is there something else I can call you other than 'Jack'?" I said bitterly, sighing, aiming the comment towards brown-haired Jack.

"Call me Gilinsky" He shrugged his shoulders like it was an obvious comment.

"Why?" I questioned, confused by why I was told to call him that.

"It's my last name" He arched his eyebrows as if I said something offensive towards him.

"That's an... Unusual name" My eyes widened and I coughed trying to disguise the fact I thought the name was weird.

"Yes" He replied with a improper answer.
Anyway, Johnson got it for me as he was closest to my room.
After watching about 3 films with snacks and popcorn, the boys went home.

James is staying with us for a week or so just until he finds his own place. However, James' belongings were everywhere, I went around collecting small items of his and dumping them in his room. Hopefully he'll be gone soon with all the mess he is making, already.

*Next Day*

So, I had to face everyone today although my bruises and cuts have healed a little, they are still visible. Applying my main makeup, I had to do extra touch-ups here and there to disguise the wounds, flinching every time my makeup came in contact with my skin.

Placing on white skinny jeans with a 'Eminem' T-Shirt on, I got ready for Uni. Curling my hair for a change, I sprayed my hair lightly with hairspray. Maybe the curls will distract people from my face.

Heading towards class, I was walking with Lauren and Cara (obviously) and out of the corner of my eye I saw Nate walk past me. Ignoring me, I shouted his name, stopping him in his tracks.

"Hey Nate" I smiled widely and friendly which he should have took advantage of because I haven't smiled properly recently.

"Er- Hi" Don't act too excited then Nathan, I thought. He seemed a bit on edge and like he was in a rush.

"What's up?" I asked, hoping for a proper conversation, even though I could tell there was something wrong.

"Nothing. I've got to go" He shook his head, walking off. Why did I sense that he was angry at me?

"Fine then" Two can play that game.

He just put his head down and walked off. What's wrong with him?
I just caught up with Cara and Lauren and carried on.

"What's his problem?" Lauren asked, glaring at him walking away.

"Ugh I don't even know" I sighed, rolling my eyes at his ignorance.

"Why? Is he angry or something?" Cara asked, oblivious to anything that just happened.

"You are so out of it" Lauren shook her head while Cara smiled, nodding.

"Yeah, he is. I think, anyway" I laughed.

Anyway, I got to class and Nate wasn't in there, Sammy was, but no Nate.
"Hey Dani" he looked up, smirking.
His feet were stretched out, blocking the entrance to my seat. Over dramatically, I stepped over them, emphasising the stride.

"Sorry" He said sarcastically, pulling his feet in, towards him.

"Hey Sammy" I smiled cheerfully before pulling out my notebook and just drawing.

"You okay?" I assume he was confused at my unlikely happy mood. Well, I've decided I don't want to care about anything today.

"Yeah, you?" I didn't let our eyes meet, in fact, they never left the page I was doodling on.

"I guess" He sighed, pulling up one side of his face, almost like a half-grin.
Sighing heavily, I slammed my book shut and sat up properly.

"Right, that's it. I've decided I'm not going to care about anything today but can someone please tell me why you and Nate-" I got cut off and interrupted by Sam.

"Nate? When have you seen Nate today?" He scowled, interest mixed with anger became clear.

"Erm... I saw him just then-" I pointed to the door as if he was there, before carrying on "he was in a rush or something" I shrugged my shoulders.

"He wasn't supposed to be coming in today" Sam rolled his eyes, turning his head to face forward.

"Have you two argued or something?" I raised my eyebrows, discovering his feelings.

"Yeah" Sam shrugged and my mouth opened because I know how close they are.

"Are you going to tell me why?" I leaned my head forward and held my hand out, slightly angry at the fact they have had an argument.

"He's just-" He began before stopping to stare.

Next minute, the creaky door was swung open and all heads turned to a stumbling Nate.

"NATHAN MALOLEY" A voice screamed from the other side of the room.

"Yeah?" He said, tilting his head to the side.

"What do you think you are doing?" She placed her hands on her hips, stomping her 4-inch stilettos on the hard floor.

"Coming to lesson" he shrugged, sarcastically.

"Late?" She furrowed her eyebrows, shocked at his attitude.

"Yes" Nate replied, stating the obvious.

"Detention" She hissed as the whole class went silent.

"For f*ck sake" He breathed loudly, cursing her actions.

"Oi! Out of this classroom now" She pointed her long, bony finger towards the door, peeping over her glasses.

Sighing heavily, he scuffed his shoes across the floor and skidded around, heading towards the door.
Nate slammed the door behind him and leant on the wall outside the classroom which I could see through a small, glass opening in the door.

Once the teacher had finished shouting at him, he walked up the stairs and as he approached, I noticed a mark on his face.

As he came up the stairs to his usual seat, next to Sammy, he walked straight past him and sat next to me; I felt like piggy-in-the-middle.

"Nate, what happened to your face?" I gasped as when I could see it clearly, it was as bad as mine.

"I-er-got into a fight" he mumbled under his breath, not making eye contact.

"Are you okay?" I asked concerned as I hoped the fight wasn't with Sammy although he didn't have a single scratch on his face.

"Yeah, don't worry. You should have seen the other guy" He chuckled to himself as he obviously beat him. This made me smile and I knew it definitely wasn't Sammy now.
