Aryll entered the Forest of the Fairies her pretty blue eyes alight with wonder. Her blonde pigtails wavered in a gentle breeze that whispered through the trees. "C'mon big brother let's ask the Guardian for a wish it is your birthday after all," she said excitedly. The young girl tucked her hands into the pockets of her light blue dress grinning widely. Trailing behind her was a boy just a few years older rubbing the sleep from his eyes. He had matching blonde hair and a set of darker blue eyes than his sister. "Why did you wake me up so early? I was hoping to sleep in," the boy snapped grumpily. Aryll frowned at him. "Link you can be so lazy sometimes. Don't you know its tradition for the Guardian to bestow wishes upon those who share the same birthday as the legendary hero?" Link twisted his lips in annoyance. "I have all day you know Aryll."

While the brother and sister were arguing back and forth a six-tailed figure of a kitsune watched from a high tree branch in mere amusement. Your e/c transfixed upon Link in curiosity knowing you have heard that name before. Tucking a lock of h/c behind your red vulpine ear you whispered a spell that summoned two whisps of fire to the palm of your hand. You murmured something to them and they floated down after the two children maintaining a safe distance. A tiny grin crossed your lips.

"I don't think the Guardian is here at this time of day," Link told Aryll. Aryll stopped short in tracks gazing around her eyes seeming to droop sadly. "I was truly hoping she'd be here for your special day," she muttered. Link halted suddenly smiling down at his sister then gave her a warm hug. "I appreciate the gesture Aryll." The little girl enveloped her brother for a moment just in time to see the two wisps of fire coming towards them. Letting out a shriek she cried out "Link look out!" Link glanced over his shoulder and pushed Aryll behind him protectively. "Don't come any closer," he warned the wisps.

The wisps whirled and twirled as you suddenly appeared before the children a kind smile alighting your features. "Welcome, Link and Aryll," you said crouching to their level. Aryll's jaw dropped in surprise as Link quirked an eyebrow at you. "How do you know our names?" You stood up to your full height and crossed your arms. "Well being the Guardian to this island it's my duty to know those of whom I protect. My name is Y/N." Aryll came forward with a quick curtsy. Link appearing dumbfounded awkwardly rubbed the back of his head. Aryll tapped his shoulder sharply using her trusted telescope. "Oww." He glared at his sister then turned back to you and introduced himself properly. "It's nice to meet you both," you said with a light giggle.

"Is it true you can grant wishes?" Link asked. You raised your eyebrows at Link's question. "Yes to a certain extent ... though it has been many ages since I last granted one." Aryll came forward eagerly. "Could you give one to Link it's his tenth birthday and he is to undergo the sacred ceremony to honor the legendary hero?" Link waved his arms and shook his head as she spoke this. Once again you knelt before the boy making soft eye contact with him. "Oh in that case I'll be glad to. What is it you'd like to wish for Link?" Link cast his gaze away uncertainty clouding his mind. "I really don't know. What would you wish for Y/N." You blinked rearing your head back in slight surprise. "Honestly I have never thought about it. I'll let you in on a secret though." Link and Aryll leaned in earnestly. "As of late, I have been dreaming of this man ... with fiery red hair and golden eyes. For some reason, my heart calls out to him he turns and whispers my name. I wish I could meet this man as he seems rather important to me," you said pensively.

Aryll clasped her hands together with a dreamy look upon her face. "That sounds romantic!" she exclaimed. Link's light blue eyes suddenly twinkled in the gentle sunlight streaming through the trees. "I've got it. I wish for you to be able to meet this man!" A sudden sparkle of gold appeared on the back of your hand at Link's words. It sent a warm tingling sensation through your body. "Ohh!" you cried out. "You certainly didn't have to wish for something like that Link," you said kindly. Link placed his hands on his hips peering at the ground. "I didn't honestly know what to wish for," he muttered.

Suddenly Aryll gasped as if remembering something important. "Link we need to go, Grandma, has a gift for you to prep for your party tonight." Link nodded once to his younger sister. Aryll flashed her innocent eyes to you. "Miss Y/N, you're invited too. There's going to be singing, dancing and lots of yummy food! You'll come won't you?" she asked. You smiled softly to the little girl nodding. "Of course it would be an honor." Aryll jumped excitedly grabbing Link by the hand and hurrying off. "See you tonight then!" she called out waving goodbye.

A/N: Hey everyone I am back.
