The next week Lucy and the others began receiving extra work in classes. It was in preparation for their O.W.Ls next year. Lucy watched as Tina screwed her face up at what she was reading. They were in the library, studying with Hermione.

"What's wrong Tina?" Lucy sighed, having enough of her making faces.

"This transfiguration chapter is making my head hurt." Tina sighed.

"What chapter?" Hermione asked, peering over from her books.

"Vanishing spell. Chapter twelve." Tina answered.

"Oh, I just finished that one yesterday, can I help?" Hermione asked, giving Tina a smile.

"Please." She responded. Lucy stuck her head back into her own work. She had also finished the transfiguration work yesterday and her and Hermione were now on their Defense schoolwork together.

"Honestly, you make it seem so easy." Tina said to Hermione after half an hour of going through the work with her.

"It takes a while to understand what it's saying, so I find it's easier to break it down." Hermione explained. They were packing up their books when Harry and Ron entered and found them.

"Hey you lot." Harry said.

"Hey." The girls said.

"Hermione, have you got time today to help me out with something?" Harry asked, almost awkwardly.

"Of course. I'll see you two later." Hermione said. And Lucy and Tina said goodbye before heading back to their common room for the evening.

"These next couple of weeks are going to be hell. I can hardly keep up with the work that we've got now." Tina sighed. Lucy gave her a sympathetic smile and they continued walking.

JUNE 1995

The third tournament in the challenge had crept up. It was also the final weeks of school for the year, the end of school dance, Draco and Tina's birthdays. Lucy had practice exams in almost each of her classes and lately, she hardly had any time to relax.

"If you ask me, the tournament's become a bit of a joke." Draco snarled. Lucy, Tina, Draco and Crabbe were seated around a table in the Slytherin common room discussing the third task.

"What? Just because Harry's become a fan favourite?" Lucy teased. Draco shot her a look and rolled his eyes, annoyed. "Oh come off it, you know it as well as any of us, that Harry has quickly earned his place." Lucy added.

"Hardly." Draco drawled, leaning back in his chair, unbothered.

The sound of the common room door opening, and closing drew the attention of the four to the entrance and in came Goyle and Millicent, holding hands.

"Disgusting to see him like that." Crabbe whispered in annoyance.

"You mean happy?" Tina asked.

"No." Crabbe snapped. "Like a loved-up schoolgirl." He retorted.

"So, happy?" Lucy clarified, turning to Tina and giggling. Goyle had been spending quite some time with Millicent and she, Lucy and Tina had even become sort of friends.

The two of them sat down between Tina and Crabbe and said hi to everyone. Crabbe refused to acknowledge Millicent.

"Anyway, I think Cedric's got a good chance. He and Harry are tied for first now, so who knows." Lucy declared to the group. Tina nodded in agreement as the boys began discussing how they thought Viktor would still win.
