"Emotionally tired you say, why exactly" The teacher asks. Eager for my answer.
"I dont see why thats any of your business."
I replied back pretty calmly. But of course, we live in a world where a child isnt heard unless they say something that goes against an adults opinion.
"Okay, but I'm asking why. Maybe we could have a talk after class about whats wrong" She says, offended for whatever reason.
"No thanks. Lets continue with class already."
I said, not wanting to talk to her. In fact I dont even want to be on this zoom with her.
Rei proceeds to help me out a bit.
"Right since when did this become all about JaVeyah." And he rolled his eyes a little to hard so it hurt him a bit.
I laugh a little bit and we continue to talk about topics that most people aren't ready for. The problems in the world and why they occur. Staying silent about these things is exactly whats wrong...at least thats what I believe.
*times skippe*
I had finished all my zooms. I signed out of my school account and went to my personal account to watch any of my favorite youtubes. Coryxkenshin, Kubzscouts, Itsfunneh...per usual.
I had checked my phone and yawned as there was nothing interesting. And then I had gotten an email from Mrs.Ryan, addressing earlier today.
"JaVeyah, I really want to be able to help and understand your situation here. I also wanted to ask you to not disrespect me again...."
Anndd there it was. That stupid ass word. Disrespect.
It was confusing. No no...more like it was made for the convenience for the adults.
It was always...
"Respect your elders"
"Treat adults with respect".
As if they are superior, so superior that we had absolutely no say. But everyone tries to express equality, and that all changes when they are in a situation where they have to be superior.
Like when you make up an excuse for not wanting to go to school.
"If i have to go to work you have to go to school. We are on the same boat".
But after that... "I'm the adult. Your the child".
It never changes.
Situations like abusive parents. Narcissistic parents. They are all triggers for a sad, Depressed, But super smart and understanding generation.
Gen Z
Our generation went through a lot. So we know what's wrong with the world. Plus we dont judge as much as any other gens would, but thats not always necessarily the case.
We understand that we are all different and that some things are harder than others. The occasional people who have their own opinions.
However, thats something that the older generations might not ever understand.
But what can I say. Its 2021 New gens. New jokes new people new problems new year....a new year.
