At that moment, I stood still hoping the stalker would release his hand from my mouth but instead, he spun me around and gazed into my eyes like he was mesmerised. For a moment or two we started at each other like we were never going to let go. "WAKE UP" I said loudly in my head.
What was I doing!! This was a stalker standing infront of me. I'm not going to fall for anything, I said to myself.
I slapped him across the face and told him to let me go immediately. He then asked "why should I let you go". "Because your holding me hostage and I don't even know you" I snapped back.
There was a second of silence. The stalker seemed like he was looking for words to say, yet nothing was coming out.
"Spit it out then" I told him. He then said, "I... I can't. Your free to go".
When I heard those last few words come out of his mouth, a wave of emotions rushed over me like never before.
I thanked him for letting me go and told him never to come into my sight again!
He said nothing...
I walked out the door without hesitating to look back hoping the police were still there, but by the time I'd left, they were gone too.
Something in me was telling me not to leave, It was like a rope was pulling me back to that place and I wasn't sure why.
