Thuds of shoes hitting the group were the only sounds that they could hear, minus the wind that whistled in their ears. Their feet led them to a raggedy, old and filthy building that had seen better days. Stone pathways were cracked under their feet, the grass was brown and dying as it swayed to the melody the wind created.

Looking up at the orphanage, memories flooded through his brain. It was as if it was only yesterday that he was talking to Tom. Albus Dumbledore was confused about where his plan went wrong, why was the boy here of all places? His companion was sickly pale, however, he couldn't tell if that was his normal complexion or not, Severus Snape knew exactly who was raised here as a boy. Dumbledore did all he could to inform him of young Tom's background.

Not wasting another minute, they made their way to the door of 'Wool's Orphanage' and knocked, it only took a few seconds for a young woman to open the door. She looked at them curiously, it was obvious from Severus' expression that they weren't there to adopt.

"Hello, we're looking for a boy with the surname Potter? Hadrian- or he may go by Harry Potter," Dumbledore smiled his grandfatherly smile, hoping to relax her suspicions.

"Oh... Oh!" She realised she had them standing outside while trying to enquire about one of the children, "Please come in first, it's best to take this into the office," She led the two strange-looking men into the office, passing through the living, which gained some of the few children's attention.

After having them take a seat did she only realise what child they asked for, "I'm sorry, you asked about Hadrian? May I ask why?"

"Yes, he's signed up for a boarding school since his birth. His parents went there as children, as well. We'd like it if you could tell us about him," Dumbledore explained.

"Right..." She hesitated, suddenly gone sickly pale, "Well, Hadrian is a wonderful boy. He truly looks like an angel. When he first arrived as a baby, it was confusing as he never cried unless it was a desperate situation," She took a deep breath, "Will you be taking him no matter what is said about the boy?"

"Yes, it is an important issue that he attends this school. No matter what you say will change that," He reassured, the twinkle in his eye dimming as he thinks over her words.

"Hadrian has always had extremely good grades, whenever he got the chance he'd have his nose stuck in a book," Dumbeldore relaxed slightly thinking she was scared that they thought she was exaggerating, "But- well, you know how kids are, some just don't always play friendly with each other-" She was cut off by the man who had yet to utter a word.

"So you're saying he's a bully?" Severus scowled, it didn't take any intelligence to know that the Potter spawn would take after his father. Maybe even more so than he originally thought-

"No, no, no!" She exclaimed, "Hadrian has always had manners and tried to stay away from trouble but the older kids, mainly the boys, would always go to any length to insult the boy and to hurt him. It's expected, of course, an angelic boy, who has fantastic grades and is still at a young age, just has couples gravitate towards him. Whenever he got sent back, the other children would make fun of him for it but he never once shed a tear over it."
