As we walked inside a solider asked to look inside my bags and asked about Katherine "Well. You see she's my daughter" I lied covering her real identity but as soon as the soldier tried to grab my bags off her she twisted her arm and pulled it behind his back, knocked his legs down until he was on her knees I pulled her away quickly and the soldier caught his breath "See how teenagers are so feisty these days cant control them anymore haha" I lied again as we walked quickly ahead, Leila walked by me "Come and see me after you talked to Inkhart if you can" she said.
K.D was sitting by a terminal instructing another scribe by her, upstairs, she still had that Strong look glancing when she was working with me in Vault tec, "Karen How longs it been? 4 years? I waved below Inkhart stopped working and asked her scribe to prepare a coffee, "You monster! You stood me up at Flatwoods! I been waiting this long to pay you back for leaving me in that bar now I can finally repay your kindness" She rushed down and punched me in the face as the whole Observatory Stared, Man did I love her.
Later in a filing room behind closed doors we started to catch up about the situation currently and what I asked of her help. "I've been told there's a new Science called Synths in the commonwealth and a small group called the institute running it in secret, they could pose a threat in the future, however changing the present or the past could have a huge disaster on our own reality" I said to her,
"You seem acquainted with the Laws of time and Building relations with the present we live in now, I'm guessing you built it? you completed the time machine?" She said drinking her coffee, I showed her a photo of a large machine in the middle of Watoga, I used radiation clouds to power my machine, and the wind turbines to generate it, I rather keep the whole project secret from listening ears" I said to her
"Why don't you want the Brotherhood of Steel to harness the power of Reality and time, Our job is to acquire all technology" She said wittingly
"The Laws of time in the hands of the Brotherhood without proper Guidance is too dangerous their beliefs would forge an era under their morals, No the knowledge should stay with me and you, I know you may work as a scribe but you are a historian, your real mission is to collect data for your superiors" I said showing her the badge for the guild of Antiquities then she decided to play into my hand "you were a scientist back then, and you gave me this badge when we last spoke, said if i ever need you then I can call upon this guild, now I ask for your help to preserve not just our Future but our History" I spoke to her."Well at least you came to take me on a date even if i waited four years, what is it you need" she said and then I answered "you see my time machine, I need you to help me build it smaller and requires its own energy source" Once she heard that she spat out the hot coffee onto the table and some in my hair "That's impossible with the War ravaged land there's no power strong enough to ever be harnessed to create it! you'll need something large like a...", "Like a warhead?" I finished her sentence "Why do you think I didn't show the brotherhood of steel my bags It wasn't easy going down to the Silos but i managed to steal one from the automations" I pulled a long silver Missile from my bag as it glowed blue and green in the light And it laid secure in a black metal tool case with white towels to protect it, her eyes grew wide enough to pop out of her skull, "with these Blueprints and this Nuclear energy and your assistance we can build it" I said as I grabbed her hand however she asked one favour of me "If we build it I ask you to do one thing for me and my Guild after we save the future you must relinquish the time machine to the Guild of Antiquities we wouldn't want any of that in anyone's hands" She demanded and I looked at Katherine "My Present is all that matters so ill be glad to hand it to you" I agreed to her terms and all our hands shoke for a deal to create the greatest and smallest time machine of all time.
