"you know i love you, right?" mike whispered to me.
mike. the love of my life.
"of course i know, mikey. i love you too. more than anything."
we get off of our backs and walk hand in hand through the fields, until we're at a barn.
there, i spot a secret ladder in the direction where mike is headed.
we climb up the ladder and watch the beautiful sunset.
hues of blue, pink, orange, and purple fill the sky.
"mike, i love you."
"i love you too." mike responds.
"no, mike. i'm serious. i love you so much. i'd do anything for you. i'd fight that clown any day for you. i'd kill for you. i'd die for you. you taught me love. you taught me what care is. i love you. more than you'd ever know."
mike looks down at me and smiles, leaning in to kiss me.
"i'm glad, i feel the same about you. you drive me crazy."
"come on," he says, dragging me off of the barn roof.
we end up in a field of dandelions.
we laughed all night, sharing endless amounts of kisses.
i checked my watch, as it reads 6 o'clock. i don't feel tired at all. as i look back at mike, he's staring at me, smiling.
i pick a few of the flowers that are littered across the field. i make them into a flower crown, and place it on mike's head.
"beautiful." mike says.
"i know, my friend, y/f/n, taught me how to make these."
"no, y/n. you're beautiful. you're the most beautiful girl, no, woman, that i've ever seen. i don't know how i got so lucky. but i love you, my beautiful girl."
