~Darryl's POV~

I walk down the hall to the mailbox, planning to put it to be sent.

Suddenly, I bump into someone.

I heard an..oddly familiar voice grunt, before I notice that I was sitting on the floor and he was too.

His eyes were full of surprise, but also a hint of nervousness. My eyes widen as realise that he's the prince. It widened even more as I realise that I've been staring. For some reason, he looks surprised too.

I immediately apologize as I got snapped back to reality.

"No, no, no, don't apologise. Its alright." He said, his voice barely louder than a whisper. We just stare each other for a few moments, until I gained control of my feet and finally stood up. I offered him a hand, in which he stared at in response before becoming flustered and accepted the help.

"Um, anyways. I've got to get going. Goodbye..." he made a blank for me to place my name in.

"Darryl Noveschosch, my name is Darryl Noveschosch." I respond. He mumbles something under his breath. He then gave a friendly wave and went to the other direction. I picked up the letter I dropped and went on my very way to send it.

Training went alright. They taught us about all the different mobs they found out. The person who taught us was someone called Technoblade. He is one of the strongest fighters, which is why he was one of the first people to go through the Nether. We learnt the weaknesses of the mobs they found, the items they dropped, and where they spawn. After that, he, with the help of others, made everyone practice on the different attack techniques.

~Zak's POV~

"Have you heard about the new mission? They're gonna send station jem, and diam into the Nether." Dream said. He visited me by walking in through my window. We never really get to hang much. He was usually busy with his friends, George, Sapnap, and Ant, and I was busy writing, reading, zoning out, pranking people, and sneaking out.

"Ehh, I don't pay much attention to these things." Then I remembered that station jem is Darryl's station. Heh, this should be fun.

"When are they being sent out?" I asked.

"In a two to three weeks."

We just talked about plans, and talked about the new game everyones playing. Theres a couple of them, one is where you insult the so called opponent by rapping, and theres another where people play with these block figures. I figured I'd try it out sometime.

After he left, I thought of different ways I could prank the knights. Surprisingly, the knights are less serious than the people in this mansion, so thats really good. I usually go visit the stations, which is a couple of blocks near the mansion, and we'd just light-heartedly prank each other.

One time, I remember attempting to prank one of our staff, who lived in the stations, by pretending to fire them. It didn't go well. They...uno reversed me. Ahh, fun times.

Anyways, I just noticed I haven't explained how the stations work.

Theres four buildings, and who lives where is classified on what they are practicing. First one of the buildings is the one for the defense team. They practice, well, defending others and themselves. They focus on improving their reaction time, and on focusing several things at once. When they go to battles or missions, they're usually paired up with someone from the offence team. They make it each others goal to protect each other from anything harmful.

Second is the offense team. They are the ones who, well, attack. They're usually taught on what the weak spots of different mobs, how to approach them, and how to attack. They barely attack real people, it has been decades since two or more kingdoms had a fight.

Third is the healing team. Its literally in the name, they heal people and do stuff. They are taught on the different wounds, what to do in occasions like someone passing out, how to make different potions, and they also carry milk everywhere for some reason.

Last, but not the least, the leader team. Self explanatory. They all discuss on the different strategies, what places should explore, who should go out where, all that stuff. They are the ones who knows how to lead. They are taught to make quick decisions, how to treat a group, and what to do on emergencies. Since not every person in the building is gonna command, the others are just here for a place to stay. Of course, they welcome them with open arms.

Each building has 6 floors. Each floor has 6 rooms, which can give home to 3 people, or even 6 if you're close enough with your roommates. Every floor is classified one station. For example, station jem, station diam, station kip, and others.

(Is it obvious that I didn't do my research and is just guessing how these work? Yes? Shut up.)

The reason we split them into different stations and buildings is because they all learn differently. They have different methods that work for them. Its important for everyone to learn at their own pace. If you make everyone learn the same way, same pace, and the same thing, lots of intelligent will think they're stupid.

So, enough about life lessons. I need to get dinner, I am starving and I have been staring at this bookshelf for 30 minutes.

I grab my dark blue jacket and layer it upon my white t-shirt. I look down at my ripped jeans to see if it was messy in anyway. I grabbed my box, which I draw a little crown on, and then locked my door. I blow my candles and then look out the window and prepare myself to jump. Why am I going through this window? Because its risky and fun.

Thump.

Ouch.

I walk again to the stores. Theres the bakery, library, restaurants, and finally, the park. I decided on waiting on the park for a while, so that I can just take a rest from walking.

I settle on the bench, and just close my eyes for a bit. I then hear someone sit next to me.

"Hey Skeppy."

I open my eyes to see my friend, Darryl, with his signature smile with him.

"Hey!" I great him back.

We sat for a comfortable, but slightly awkward, silence for a moment, before he decides to break it.

"So..how's your day?" I quietly laugh to his attempt of small talk.

"What's so funny?" He asked, sounding exaggeratedly offended.

"Nothing, has it's just such a cliché thing to say."

"Hmm..doesn't something being cliché means its just common?"

"Oh wow, I never thought of it like that."

"Speaking of cliché, did you know I like to read stories?" I said, trying to start a conversation.

"Oh my goodness, you can read?" He said with a teasing tone. I playfully elbow him and roll my eyes with a smile as a response.

"I like reading stories since I always relate to the main character. Y'know how they all have something missing or want to change, that's basically me." I said, adding on to what I said. I become slightly nervous as he gives me an amused look with a hint of sadness and concern.

"What do you wanna change?"

"I.." I pause with slight hesitation. "I don't know."

"Well, would you like to figure it out?" He responds, slightly slouching on the bench.

"Maybe." I respond.

"What about you, Noveschosch?" I ask, changing the subject.

"I'm pretty happy on where I am now." He said, with a genuine smile.
