"Hi welcome back," Marie smiled at Hannah and Soffs when she opened the door.

"Where's my baby?" Hannah looked around.

"Hi nice to see you too," Marie responded sarcastically.

"I said where is my baby?" Hannah walked  past her and looked around.

"I have her don't worry," Jesse walked down the stairs.

"Emily!" Hannah grinned.

"Ma! Da!" Emily held her arms out and started squirming around.

"Hi, sweetie!" Soffs grinned and carefully took her from Jesse.

"Da!" She clapped and cuddled in the crook of his neck.

"We missed you!" Hannah cooed and kissed her cheek which made Emily squeal.

Marie took Jesse's hand and smiled. She watched as Hannah and Soffs doted on Emily. They seemed to be happy again which was a relief. Marie had truly been worried they were heading for a divorce.

"How was Emily?" Soffs looked over.

"A br-"

"An absolute angel," Jesse interrupted.

"A fussy brat like her mom," Marie smirked.

"Remind me why this dobber is my best friend?" Hannah rolled her eyes.

"Cuz life would be boring without me," Marie winked.

"Right," Hannah huffed.

"Anyway, how was the lake house?" Jesse asked wrapping his arm around Marie's shoulders.

"It was great," Soffs grinned, "really relaxing."

"A much needed get away," Hannah agreed leaning her head on Soffs' arm.

"Glad to hear it. You still want to go get lunch?" Marie asked.

"Yes that sounds perfect. We're gonna go home and change and meet you there?" Soffs asked.

"Meet you there," Jesse nodded.

"Thanks again," Hannah gave her usual brilliant smile as she took Emily from Soffs.

"Always here for you," Marie smiled.

Soffs grabbed Emily's bags that she had set by the front door. Hannah kissed her daughter's cheek and tickled her neck, making Emily squeal.  Marie smiled as Soffs placed his hand on the small of Hannah's back before they walked out of their house.

"Don't let the door hit you on the way out!" Marie yelled after them. Hannah and Soffs looked over their shoulders and gave her identical glares.

"Couldn't resist?" Jesse chuckled locking the door.

"Nope," she grinned.

"Come on, let's go get a table. Snooze is always busy this time of day."

"I'll call for a reservation on the way," Marie kissed him.
