Chapter 1 Wake Up and Run

Y/N POV

'Where am I'

I looked around my surroundings to see that I'm seating under a huge tree with purple flowers. The tree is in the center of a huge field that has no homes in sight. The sun was still high in the sky luckily the shade from the tree blocked the heat.

"Are listening to me y/n?"

I looked beside me to see that a woman was sitting beside me. I try to see her face but it seems my vision blurred when I try to look at her. The only distinguishable characteristic I could see about her was her beautiful purple kimono.

"You need to pay attention y/n the information I'm giving you could save your life," the woman said her voice was like silk

"What were we talking about," I asked hearing my voice for the first time

"We were talking about demons" she answered

"Why were we talking about demons," I asked

My head started to feel fuzzy it seems the harder I try to concentrate the fuzzier my head got.

"It seems that we are running out of time," the woman said

The woman was staring up at the tree. when I looked at the tree I could see that the purple flowers were falling off the tree. The once full bloom tree was now almost baron.

"Y/n," the woman said my name to get my attention back "never trust a demon that doesn't have any humanity and be sure to be wary of humans as well. The blue spider lily within you causes demons and humans to become possessive. I'm sorry that I can't be there for you my little one" her voice quivered as if she was crying

"I don't understand who are you? Where are we?" I asked

The petals started to fall from the tree faster I had to squint my eye to see past them.

"You need to wake up and run"

"What?"

I could no longer see the woman past the falling petals.

"RUN" she shouted

I woke up looking up at a dark sky and the middle of a forest. There was light snow hitting me in the face. I got up from the snow cover ground and my legs were wobbly.

'What am I doing' I thought

A loud roar came from the distance that sent a shiver down my spine.

'Run I'm supposed to run'

I took off running in the direction that was away from the roar. I pushed my sore legs to carry me as fast as the could. I stumbled through the darkness trying to not trip.

Another roar sounded through the cold night but this time it was closer. My heart was beating like a drum and my body cry for me to stop running. I could hear loud footsteps getting closer to me. My instincts told me if I looked back I would be caught.
