Roman's POV, first person

I see a lake. The grass surrounding the lake is extremely green. No geese or geese poop to be found.

I summon a picnic blanket and basket, then lay the blanket on the ground and kneel on it, grabbing a ham sandwich from the basket. God knows how long it's been there, but for some reason, I'm super hungry, so I'll take what I can get.

The sun is shining brightly, illuminating every crisp blade of grass. After a few bites, I put down my sandwich and decide it's time to swim in the clear water.

I take my clothes off until I'm only wearing swimming trunks and I run towards the water, whooping and doing a cannonball.

The water's super cold, but I keep swimming until the shore is far behind me.

After a while, I get hungry again - swimming is hard work. I decide to go back to my picnic and finish the sandwich.

But there's one problem.

I can't find the shore.

It's all water.

Where is my geese-proof picnic?

I swim for a few minutes, hoping that I will see it again, but west turns to north and south is west and left is horizontally and nothing makes sense.

Panic sets in. Where am I? Why can't I get back to land?

Suddenly, the water disappears, but instead of hitting the ground, I hit nothing. I'm just falling into a black abyss, like a Roblox character lagging after they die.

I shut my eyes tight, hoping it will stop.

But it doesn't. There's no end.

Until there is. Until I suddenly stop falling. I open my eyes and still see nothing.

No, there is something. In front of me is a colorful blob floating alongside me, bobbing up and down slightly.

I clear my throat quietly, though the blob is silent, so the quietness echoes. "Salutations, my rainbow friend. Who might you be?"

The blob doesn't respond. Instead, it starts to... unfuse?

"Oh, how quaint." I chuckle, but it sounds as if I'm gurgling water.

A dark blue blob flies towards me.

"Good day, fellow floater. What is your name?" I say.

It morphs into something. A human. It murmurs something, but I can't quite catch what it is.

Instead, I say, "Ah, I've got a friend who looks just like you, his name is-"

"Roman," the blob exclaims, cutting me off.

"No, no," I shake my head, "that's not it."

"Roman, you aren't necessary."

The smile on my face drops almost instantly. "Uh, that's a bit rude, don't you think?"

A purple blob acts similarly, also shaping into one of my friends, I'm assuming Virgil.

"Roman, can you even call yourself a hero?"

A light blue blob that has replaced the purple one doesn't say anything, but its human form just looks at me with a heartbroken expression.

While I'm staring at the Patton look-alike for an uncomfortable amount of time, I hear, "Pump the brakes, Princey!!"

I turn to find the source of the voice. Thomas, to be specific. I could recognize it from a mile away.

But when I turned, I don't see anything.

"Here in the garden, let's play a game..."

The voice trails off. Remus. If I weren't floating, I would've fallen to the ground in shock. I try to fly towards him, but then he reshapes, just like clay, into a yellow figure, with half of his face green.

"Everybody just loves you, don't they?" He looks at me and smirks.

My eyes shut tight as tears brim them.

I just want to go home.
