**Author's note: Sorry that this is so... informative. I wasn't sure how to set the scene any other way than being very strict, I guess, with my words. But it does kind of line up with Logan's way of talking, so I don't really mind.**

Logan's POV
"Are you sure this will work, Remus?" I inquire, Patton nodding beside me.
Remus winces painfully and holds his side before choking out, "I... I have to try."
Let's rewind.
.
9:37 pm. I was just laying on the couch, reading up on Roman's condition, and had almost fallen asleep when out of the blue, I heard,
"Oh... hi, Logan."
I turned my head to see a blurry figure on the stairs, and I was confused before I realized that I did not have my glasses on. Grabbing my glasses and sliding them onto my face, I now could see Janus holding a disheveled Remus wrapped in a large fuzzy blanket like an infant. Janus seemed to be struggling a bit, but he was managing.
"What are you doing down here at this time?"
Janus was about to speak before Remus replied, in between coughing fits, "Fixing my brother."
"What do you mean, Remus? Roman will be alright, I can assure you I have it under control." Remus seemed to be distressed, whimpering as he coughed, and I tried to reassure him so as not to 'rile him up.'
Janus looked down at Remus and his eyes widened. "Logan, I can assure you that you don't."
I quirked my eyebrow. "Why would you say that?"
"Logan, for the past week, Remus has been hacking his lungs out. He's weak and at least twice a day, he has sharp pains in his stomach and torso, right where his core would be. A few minutes ago, Remus told me that he could tell he was losing his brother, and I didn't understand until I looked at his eyes and realized they were grey, not red. Now..." a stray tear crossed Janus's cheek, and he sniffled a bit. "Now, he's slowly going completely grey."
It took a moment, but the realization figuratively hit me like a motor vehicle. "Color loss..." I whispered to myself. One of the main symptoms of distress between Creativity twins, when one or both are, well, dying.
Of course. Why didn't I see it before? Upon doing my daily check-ups and examining Roman's eyes, I found that his irises were a very light, almost nonexistent silver, not a deep basil. His feet, which I had covered with some socks, were colorless as well, and ash-colored patches had affected his back, elbows, cowlick, shoulders, you name it.
Remus muttered something to Janus, who walked down the rest of the stairs before setting Remus down on the floor by his unconscious brother. He groaned and touched Roman's wrist, which sent a chill through the air.
Janus and I met each other's eyes and he mouthed, "Woah."
Remus pulled the blanket closer to his body, shivering. I could see what Janus was talking about by color loss; Remus's hair was now completely dull grey instead of the one streak he had and the color was moving down his neck rapidly. The only difference was his flushed cheeks, which were not a blush pink but simply a darker shade of charcoal. He held the blanket with his left hand but kept his right hand on Roman's wrist, which seemed to be helping his sickness.
Remus cleared his throat, which made him cough more, and I rushed over to help him, but he turned me away and caught his breath so he could tap my shoulder.
"Yes, Remus?" I watched him pause for a moment, then smile and meet my gaze.
"Go get Patton and Virgil. They're gonna wanna see this."

And here we are.
