Chapter 2

Pete POV

The new guy seems interesting. I can see why June approached him.San was talking about celebrating ,we will be going to our usual Bar. It would be fun,all the test and projects are frustrating already.

Disturbing his thought Sandee says ''So at 6, Pete will pick you up. Okay Kao?''

''Okay. I will wait for you Pete'' Kao says to Pete

Pete chocked and hid his suprise by shouting a ''Yes''

He will wait for me

He says my in such a angelic way. What! What am I thinking about? Uffhh....

Everyone leave to their respective houses

Pete was about to open his door when suddenly two hand grab him from behind. He get scared and pushes the owner of the hands only to find his ex girlfriend on the ground .

"Shit !What are you doing here Mint"

''I miss you Pete''

''We broke up you were the one who wanted it."

"I want you back"

"No I don't love you anymore "

"Pete you are lying to yourself you love me I know"

"It was not even a full fledged relationship why are overeating "

"Pete this my final call for you "

"Okay .Now leave"

"PETE. You are not doing this with me"

Kao POV

Bar. First day and drinking. I love to celebrate per se, lot of talking laughing drinking enjoying a little less in drinking as Waii is not there to carry me. I am getting independent. Haa. Good point Kao

At 6 pick will come , I have 2 hours to complete my work okay lets start. Wait how will Pete pick me. I have to call June and ask for his number.

Calls June

"Hello June"
"Hey Kao"
"June actually I called because I need Pete's number"
"Why? "
"Well he is supposed to pick me, how will he if he doesn't know my address"
"I will send the number to you"

Kao POV
Okay. Save to phone. P-E-T-E-U-N-I. Done.

"Hello Pete"

"Who is this"(a girl's voice)

"Is this Pete's number"

"Yeah, who is this?"

"Well I like to talk to Pete-"

"Give my phone back (Pete's voice)

"You don't have my address"

"Harsh" Kao think out loud

Pete POV

His voice is angelic. Shit. What am I thinking

Interrupting his thoughts

Mint says" Hey, we need to talk. Who was he? " Pete realises he still has a problem to deal with. "None of your business, get out we are over. I told you last time. I am telling you now" Mint replies harshly" You never cared about me, did you even love me " "Heyaa what are you talking about did you think about me when you were cheating on me? Stop the little show you are playing right now right here." Mint starts cry. She tries to hug him. Pete pushes her back. Pete asks her to stop. "Pete you don't understand, we are perfect together you are a pretty rich guy with top notch looks I am a beautiful girl who is cultured and I am perfect for you and your future "
"You are no one to judge or decide my future or who I find perfect." Pete says in stern but commanding voice.
Mint didn't want to to anger him anymore she could say the rest some other time and in more convincing way.

Pete did not realise that it was 6'o clock already. "I'm late " he shouts
And run to his car and starts. He doesn't wear his seat belt as usual. And drives at a high speed. He reaches the address and there standing tall was Kao he wore a simple white shirt with black loose rip jeans. Pete checked him out.

He feels Kao waiting for him to unlock the car lock. He realise what he did and he feels his face flush.
And unlocks the door and and masks his embarrassment.

Kao looks at Pete he wore blue white t shirt and dark blue jeans anda denim jacket was in the back seat.
Nice.

Kao sat in the passenger seat and pulls the seat belt. He notices that Pete did not were his seat belt and stared at him like a signal to wear the seat belt. Pete notice it and says "I do not like to were seat belts. " "Please wear it will keep you safe from accidents. " Pete nods and put it on.

Pete POV

I feel warm. Is the guy serious, no one has ever asked him to wear seat belts except the traffic police and his father.

Kao POV

Wearing seat belt is very important. It is a known fact that if we do not wear seat belts air bags won't help from accidents. Pete doesn't like to wear seat belts I guess he feels caged.

Pete tries to start small talk with him but he could feel Kao was distracted.
Kao was enjoying scenery it was a little different from where he was was last few years it felt new. Just what he wanted. He was over Waii he could feel that. He starts to look for a different view and his eyes falls on Pete. Pete was truly had a handsome face. Sharp jawline nicely shaped lips and mystery filled eyes.
It was a highway the bar was far from his house but near to Sandee's so it was choosen as it would be safe for Sandee. Kao feels car speed moving at a speed more than what it should be. He asks Pete slowly " Can you slow down? " Pete shakes his head for him this speed was normal he gets speeding tickets sometime but he pays off the fine. He had money so it was okay for him.

Kao was starting to feel sick his stomach was churning . He was getting a bad feeling. "Stop" Kao shouts Pete stops the car startled. He realise what was going on Kao was having car sickness his face was paler that usual with red blush on his cheeks. Pete gets scared.
