*Daaniyal's POV*:

"I've something to tell as well but, ladies first," I said, playing with her hair.

"No, no, you tell me. What's it about?" Zoya said, facing me.

Those emerald eyes.

Wow!

"No, Zoya. Ladies first," I said, staring at those pretty orbs.

"Dan, please. If you don't tell me, I won't be able to sleep peacefully tonight. Please, please, please," she said with puppy eyes.

Too cute.

"Here's the cocktail, bro," Lia yelled, handing over the glass to me.

Ah, Lia.

"Lia, are you serious? I don't believe that you made this," I said, taking a sip of the cold and fizzy sweet cocktail.

"Why brother? Doesn't it taste good?" She asked despondently.

"The best cocktail I've ever tasted," I said, leaving the glass on the crystal table.

"Yay! Thank you!" She screamed in joy and gave a high-five to Zoya.

"The food is ready as well," she said, smiling.

"Coming! I can't wait to taste my favorite cuisine from my favorite person," I said, planting a kiss on Zoya's forehead.

"I hope you enjoy the dinner, Dan," she said, pretending to blow a kiss towards me.

*****

As I was walking towards the hand-washing counter, I sensed something weighty on my shoulders.

Ouch. It hurts.

I faced the enormous rectangular shaped mirror and witnessed a black figure on my shoulders.

The lights went off suddenly, but I could hear a female weeping low right next to me.

"Zoya, those weeping pranks won't work with me," I said, trying to get a grip on her arms.

The weeping was getting louder and louder.

"This isn't Zoya," I whispered, looking for the switch to turn the lights on.

The mirror shrouded in its mist of vapour, a pair of blackish red eyes were staring at me. I'm sure my eyes transfixed with horror, unable to look away no matter how badly I wanted my eyes pressed shut.

"Daaniyal, what's taking you so long?" Zoya asked, walking toward me.

I could not look, nor was I able to touch or feel it. It disappeared as soon as Zoya entered the location.

"There was a power cut, right?" I asked, washing my hands.

"Dan! Are you alright?" She asked, laughing and smacking my shoulders.

Oh, so there wasn't a power cut?

What actually happened a while ago?

"No-nothing" I stammered.

"Well, the food is ready, husband."

"Dan?"

"Dan?" she screamed, and I jerked up.

"Is everything alright?" She asked, grabbing my hands.

"Hey, I'm perfectly alright. Let's go?" I asked, smiling.

No. I'm not okay.

So, this is happening here.

This has to end. It's my responsibility to save my family.

Should I let uncle know about this?

*****

The table looked appetizing. Japanese Cuisine is simple, approachable and unsophisticated in a certain way.

Well done, wife.

"My God, the sushi is so authentic. It tastes much better than restaurants," I said, munching the savory taste dish.

"Thank you, Dan," Zoya said, smiling.

"Serve more, son," Uncle said, transferring a spoon full of Seaweed Nori to my plate.

"Lia, can you please pass me the Furikake and Tsukudani?" Zoya said, licking the bottom of her lip.

"You're a fantastic cook," Adiva said, serving the soup.

"You've got to give me the recipe for this Seaweed Nori." I whispered.

"I'm all yours and so are my recipes. I can't wait for that day. That special day when my husband cooks for me," she said, winking.

"Of course! Why not? I'm an excellent cook, you know," I said, clearing my throat.

"Oh, yes. I know. You add salt instead of sugar, right? I know that your salty pasta is out of this world," she said, giggling.

"Haya promised to keep that a secret. I will have to catch her today," I said, face palming myself with a slight smile.

*****

"Thank you very much for the extraordinary dinner. I loved every single dish. You're indeed a fantastic cook," I said, embracing Zoya into a hug.

"Thank you. Thank you. I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you," she said, placing her head on my chest.

"Same here. Few days more to go and then, we're one," I said, patting her back.

My baby girl.

"I got to leave now," I said, bidding goodbye to each and everyone and brought my engines to life.

Zoya has never been to my place, so I have to invite her home. I got to plan something.

Oh wait, I totally forgot about it. What did Zoya want to tell me?
