The warm sun beamed down on the citizens of Whiterun. As two women made their way to the marketplace, one of them started an interesting conversation.

"Once I save up enough money, I'm going to buy the Bannered Mare from Hulda. It's a good business, brings in a lot of coin."

"That's a nice dream to have. All I want to a vacation- maybe to Midwood Isle. I heard the weather there is really nice."

"Ah, that certainly sounds relaxing. How about this- I've been dealing with a kajhiit caravan and they want a mammoth tusk. If you get one for me I'll pay for your vacation. Do we have a deal?"

"Eh, sure. Why not."

And with that, y/n was off, grinning as she half-daydreamed about her vacation. As she headed into the tundras of Whiterun, she spotted a giant camp.

"Perfect." She took out her bow and some paralyzing poison. She focused, drawing her bow and aiming for a giant's neck. She let go and watched as the giant fell onto it's back, stiff and unmoving.

This didn't garner the attention of the other giant or mammoths, thankfully, and y/n readied another arrow, taking down the other giant successfully. She'd only need to kill one mammoth- so she aimed for the mammoth farthest away from her, again hitting it.

Knowing she only had a while longer to get the tusk before the poison wears off, she brought out her (weapon of choice/ magic of choice) and went straight to attacking the mammoth.

It wasn't easy- she was tossed around more than once, but she managed to kill the mammoth and get a tusk, before the first giant got back up. It frowned noticing the dead mammoth. It stomped toward
y/n, who didn't notice her new enemy before it was too late. The giant swung it's club, sending her flying into a rock.

Lucky her, still being able to hold onto the precious tusk even when getting flung 100+ feet. Everything hurt- but she didn't want to lose her sponsored vacation or let Ysolda down. So she limped to her friend's house and collapsed right as the door opened.

When she awoke, she felt sore and tired. Her vision cleared up and she noticed Ysolda walking into the building she was in. Where was she?

"Oh, thank goodness you're okay!" Ysolda hugged her tightly.

"Ow ow...oh...is this the Temple of Kynareth?"

"Yeah. Apparently you received quite the beating from that giant."

"Uh...if you call getting smacked with a club which sent me flying across the tundra a beating...then yes. I received quite the beating."

"Well I'm glad you're alright. I'm shocked you managed to get that tusk though."

"I wanted my vacation."

"That's...okay...I guess."

"You sound disappointed."

"I'm not."

"You are. Don't worry, I got the tusk because you asked me to. I can't go back on a deal, ya know? But I still also wanted my vacation."

"That was worse."

"Sorry? I mean you weren't the one who got smacked by a giant."

"But still."

"Still what?"

"I was worried about you."

"Yeah, you're my friend. That's kind of expected."

"I- you know what, nevermind. Get some rest."

"Okay. Bye bye."

Ysolda left the temple feeling like horse shit. Figuratively. Because if it were literally, that would be disgusting.

Y/n is dense- which is bad for Ysolda. But if you asked y/n who she loved, she'd say Ysolda. Ysolda will never know that- y/n won't tell her. Yet. Maybe. Eventually she will....
