Three may keep a secret, if one of them is dead.

The wind tapped against the ladder, making it moan. When I got out of Harry's place, I noticed the ladder was in it's normal position, firmly against the base of the fire escape.

A whispering in my ear grew louder. Jake came to my mind when my iPhone began to ring.

He calls or text me every few hours... and its so annoying. Ever since I broke my promise to him; go out to eat or hang with him, he's been so clingy. I see him everywhere I go and I try so hard to ignore him.

There was this one time when I was at the movies with my Natalie, and Talia and he was there as well. I didn't get along with Natalie but I had an extra ticket so what the hay. We were watching, "21 Jump Street." The newer version. It was at the part where Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum were late to class and was caught by the school's coach. There were acting crazy by rolling around there tounges in the coach's face and drooling. Most of the people in the theater was LOLing.

I grabbed a handfull of popcorn in my right hand and held it up to my mouth. "Alyssa!" Behind me was a male voice calling me. I spun around in my seat as people shushed him. I swallowed and noticed it was Jake. He was waving his hands in the air like a maniac. Natalie and Talia were looking as well. There were chuckling.

"That you're boyfriend?"Natalie was holding back her laughter.

I gave myself a major faceplam. "No, he isn't my boyfriend. He's a creepy stalker!" I whispered to them.

"Alyssa?! It's me... back here! See, I'm waving my hands in the air!"

I took a sip of my frosty and wished he wold just leave! He was shushed again. I shifted uncmfortably. "Jake would you be quiet!?" I demanded.I slouched in my chair, doing whatever I could to get away from him.

The movie was going to be over in about five minutes so I told the girls if they wanted to leave. They agreed. With our heads down we managed to not be see, until we opened the door, "Alyssa where are you goin'?! I'm coming, too!" He jumped up from his seat.

"Go... go... go!" I rushed them out, trying to be as quiet as possible. The lobby was filled with people. They were trying to find the right rooms to go to. I ducked behind a cardboard statue of a boy with green leaves on his feet. "You guys go!" I shooed them off since they brought their own cars.

"Good luck, A." Talia said before running off, crouching.

Jake stopped almost right in front of me, searching. What was wrong with this boy? He got out his phone and thumbed in someone's number. "Number 2... I lost her!" I couldn't hear what the man was saying but he was yelling. Number 2. I have heard that before. After a long argument he hung up but then dialed someone else's number. It was a matter of seconds before my phone rang.

I gasped and yanked my phone out my pocket. Starring at the screen, I heard his feet come closer. He peered around the corner of the statue, but I took off to my car. Struggling to put the key in the key hole of the oor, I shook. I heard Jake calling me.

My keys slipped from my hand and onto the cold, hard ground. I caught it with my knee and inserted it. Swinging the door open, I sat in the seat and drove away, not looking back.

I clicked end call. "

There was a bang on the door.

I watched the cars peel out. I sighed deeply, and shrugged my shoulders, "Eh, I'll check in the morning." As I turn around to walk back inside, I see that my neighbor Mrs. Nom had a chair outside her porch. That was unusual. "Mrs. Nom left a chair... outside her apartment... on the fire escape?" I said to myself.
