If you tell the truth then you won't have anything to remember.

-Mark Twain

"I have something to tell you..."The words shimmered before me. Amy's voice rang in my head. My head started to spin. I blinked once and hard. What did she tell me that day of the shooting in the diner? Hitting myself in the head "think" isn't working.

I opened the door and stepped out onto the snowy pavement. Stepping onto the porch I reached for the knob on the right door. There was a prescence near me. I could feel it. I took my gaze off the knob and looked behind me. Cars were either covered in snow or parked somewhere, houses were still and quiet- nothing out of the ordianry.

Turning back to the door, I was met by Jake. He looked tired and angry as well. "What do you-" he lifted his hands and threw them at me. I fell back, swinging my arms until my bum hit the ground. Just when I fell my head hit someone's leg. I scooted away and looked at them. I was met by a pair of electric blue eyes. I had never seen these eyes before. Only the color. They were absolutely breathtaking.

His jet black hair looked smooth and I could run my hands right through it. Blue eyes walked over to Jake. Jake met him halfway so they were standing almost nose to nose. "Go home, Jake!" he warned.

Jake was about to push him, but blue eyes grabbed his hands. He twisted Jake's arm, "I said go home, Jake! This isn't your fight!"

By now I was leaning against the car. Jake removed his arms from his grasp and was panting, "Since when did you become the boss of me, bro?!" Jakes scoffed, "You've changed. Number one's gonna be pissed!"

"Who gives a damn about dad?" his voice strict. His eyes were no longer the breathtaking blue... but red, like mine were at the get together.

Jake opened his mouth but blue eyes cut him off, "Why are you doing this? She was innocent! She had nothing to do what Amy did!" his tried to whisper her name.

I stepped close, "Um what exactly did Amy do?" They turned and faced me. I was yanked back, "you're busy... Ok." I was back against the car. Marcie had pulled me back, "What?" I asked.

She shook her head. "Don't do it."

"But what did I do?" I asked emphatically. I was too busy looking at blue eyes and Jake arguing.

"You didn't." She waited for me to look at her, "You don't remember what mummy told you about me... do you?"

I shook my head, " 'Fraid not."

"The day of the shooting. When you were in the diner. Think about it. The same day, I had gotten into a car accident with-"

"Your foster mum." I cut her off. She nodded slowly. There was a sharp pain in my head. I rubbed my temples as I fell down. Images, memories shot through my head, making me groan and yell out in pain. A memory seeped through me. I was in the diner and she was telling me about her. My expression was priceless.

Everything was still and I was in a black room. "Now do you remember?" All of her words echoed.

"Yeah I- I think so." I looked around, "Amy is that you?"

"Yes... but I'm afraid I can't see you anymore. But I can talk to you..."

My eyes snapped open. I was on the porch swing. Everyone was gone. bush rattled in the distance. I shook it off and walked up to the door. Turning the door knob on the right door, It got stuck. Turning the left one, it got stuck halfway as well. Locked, of course.

Standing on my tip-toes I reached up onto of the door and ran my fingers across it. I touched something, so I grabbed it. They key. I slid it into the keyhole. The lock made a a click! noise. Putting the key back, I entered through the right door.
