"You've gotta dance like there's nobody watching,
Love like you'll never be hurt,
Sing like there's nobody listening,
And live like it's heaven on earth."
―William W. Purkey
"It's the most beautiful time of the year, lights fill the streets spreading so much cheer..."
Soft music played in the background as my eyes looked all around the mansion like house. Going up and down the stair case railing was tinsel and colorful lights, like on the tree. There was decorations everywhere. I sure as hell wasn't helping taking them down.
Phoebe got on her knees and moved the left over wrapping aside as she crawled under the tree. She grabbed a blue and orange present out of her hand and backed out. She read the note that stuck out of the side of the bow. Daisy read it out loud. Her voice was kind of raspy and hoarse.
To:
Phoebe and Daisy... since mum wouldn't get it for you.
From:
Lissa
They looked back at me. I was leaning against the wall, by the couch. I had on my pink and white pyjamas. The sleeves and pants were pink, but the actual shirt part was white. It said Feliz Navidad. "Well... open it." They had a nervous look on their faces.
"If something pops out... I'm killing you, Lissa!" Phoebe said as she started to peel off the wrapper ever so slowly. She did this with her other presents.
"Phoebes," She continues to peel it off, taking her time," What are you doing?"
"It is important to save as much wrapping as you can.. therefore when the time comes you may use it again." She pointed over to the sofa, "There are more over there." There was a stack of perfect paper that she unwrappped. Dasiy glanced at me, then she grabbed Phoebe's hands and made her rip it off, sloppily. "What'd you do that for?" She pratcially yelled.
Daisy opened the box and pulled out cheetah fabric. It was the bed spread they always wanted. Their eyes grew wide. "You got it for us! Oh my god!" they came over and tackled me in hugs.
Phoebe had her arms around my neck too tight. I struggled for air. "I'm... glad you..." I grabbed her arms and tried to move it. "I'm glad...*cough* you LIKE it but *cough* I CAN'T BREATH!" I look over at Lottie and Fizzy who were laughing. They saw my face turning red and they grabbed the twins. I fell down dramtically, laughing.
"Hey Lottie..." I motioned her towards me. She walked over to me. "Could you help cook the food... I've gotta get the boys present from my flat... and I've got more presents in the trunk of my car. "
She groaned, "But I don't feel-"
I pulled out a ten dollar bill from my pants pocket and waved it in her face. She snatched it and headed into the kitchen. Trudging over to the door, I stopped and reached over to the left to grab my fur coat off the coat rack. I swung it on over my pyjamas. Zipping it up, I open the door and take a step outside. It is white everywhere. On cars and houses, bushes, trees... everywhere. My feet made footprints in the snow as I made my way over to the driveway and to my car.
Luna follows close behind me as I make my way over. Bits of snow got caught in my hair. Grabbing my keys out of my pocket, I open the driver side door and sit in the seat after Luna hops in and sits in the passenger seat. The door closed with a slam. Starting the car, I look behind me and slowly back out of the driveway.
