*harrys not famous in this one*
y/n's pov
harry and i are sitting on top of the roof of his house. it's sunset and it's a 'tradition' we have i guess you could call it. just to sit on the roof and and watch the sunset while talking about life. every weekend we go to either one of our houses's and spend the weekend there, preferably harry's. it feels more like home.
"mom and dad got into another argument," i say looking ahead at the other houses. "i'm sorry," he replies softly. "it's alright i guess. i'm just tired of it, i want them to stop." i look down at my shorts playing with the ends of them, a habit i have when i'm nervous.
things at home aren't so great. it's always been this way. since i was little, my parents constantly argued so naturally, i got nervous from hearing screams and loud noises. not to mention, i don't have friends, harry is my only friend. best friends since first grade, currently in 9th.
"i understand, but it'll stop soon," he wraps his arm around my shoulders, pulling me into him to comfort me. i lay my head on his shoulder and reply, "who knows when it'll end." "but it will eventually. if it doesn't though, you got three more years till you can move out." "i can't wait, i'm just over it. it's caused so many problems." "i know but you always got me and you're always welcome here." "thank you." "you're welcome."
we sit in silence and watch the sky. as the sky fades into a light blue, i speak up, "thank you so much harry for everything. i'm so grateful i have you in my life because who knows where i would be without you. thank you for always listening to me and comforting me and letting me stay here when things are really bad."
a single tear runs down my face. it's all true. i have to clue where i would be if i didn't have someone there for me.
harry tightens his grip around me, "you're so welcome. i'm glad i have you in my life too because it's nice having someone there for me too when i need it. i love you y/n."
"i love you too harry."
i wrap my arm around his waist cuddling into him. we continue watching the summer sky shade into a dark blue. we stare up at the stars until harry speaks up. "we should go eat dinner." "probably."
we both get up and make our way to harry's bedroom window. we climb through and make our way downstairs to meet anne at the bottom of the steps, "oh, i was just about to call for you guys." i smile at her. she's like a second mother to me. she's very sweet and welcoming. "i got good timing," harry says. we all giggle.
we make our way to the dinner table and eat our dinner. every time i'm here i always feel very welcome and that's something i don't feel at home. i'm very thankful for this family.
