Chapter 6

*JAZLYNS P.O.V*

"Wanna count or hide first, Tay?" I asked after we all gathered in the middle of my street.

"Count!" Tayler grinned.

"Sweet!" Addie exclaimed.

"Okay base is my dad’s car. The back of the car. So basically the trunk." I informed everyone tapping the old gray Mercedes my dad had. Everyone nodded their head.

"Well play like we always do. You can’t go past old man Charlie's house over there" I said pointing down the street to the only house with random statues scattered around. "And Mrs. Dana’s house over there." I then pointed to the bright yellow house on the opposite end of the street from Charlie's.

"You can go in anyone’s backyard and practically anywhere but just stay within the boundaries." Addie added.

"Got it?" I asked looking mostly at James.

"Yes ma’am." He said saluting me. I smirked and nodded my head. That’s what I thought.

"Alright, let’s count!" Riley yelled jumping on top of my dad’s car.

"Wait!" I stopped everyone and took out my phone. "Put your number in James." I ordered him handing him my phone.

He typed his information and gave it back. "Okay, I’m going to call you and were going to 3 way." I said hitting the call button.

"Wow, Jay, I just met him. I don’t know about this." Addie said backing away.

"Really?" I said giving her a look. She just grinned and shrugged her shoulders. Once we were all connected on our phones we headed out, going our separate ways.

I decided to take it easy the first round and avoid my secret hiding spot. I slipped behind the Gray house right across from mine. There was a faint light coming from the screen door in the back so I stayed hidden in between the bush and the bumpy wall of the side of the house. I laid down on my stomach and brought my phone close to me.

"JB You there? James?" I whispered into the phone.

"I is be here Blue jay." Addie whispered back through the phone.

"Here." James also said.

"You see any of them?" Addie asked.

"Hold up." I said putting the phone down.

I then leaned to the side and stuck my head inside the prickly bush and popped out on the other side. I saw Luke waiting by the car and Riley and Tayler nowhere to be seen.

I resumed my previous position and picked up my phone.
"Luke equals babysitting. Ri-Ri and Tay-Tay equal missing." I informed everyone.
