"Yo Chanel like are you good babes?" Jordan said looking at me
I nodded my head but only if she knew that I was feeling dead...
"If you need me then just call me now have a good day love" She said smiling
I nodded my head once again.
We both went our separate ways towards our first class of the day and I was welcome to people just being loud and annoying as I walked into the classroom then I started walking between the desk to get to mine. I placed my bag on the floor then sat down like I didn't even notice that Dave was staring at me the whole time that I stepped into the classroom.
"Yes Dave?" I said annoyed
"Oh nothing shordy" He said looking at me
I rolled my eyes and nodded my head while taking out my notebooks for class.
"You good Nene?" He said concerned
"I'm good nigga?" I said shaking my head
After that like he noticed that I didn't want to talk anymore then that's when I noticed that he bought a book out of his bookbag and opened it. It was full of art which I am guess that he all drew then he went to a page of a drawing of a girl that was me.
Just like that the bell started ringing to notified everyone that class is about to start and that's when students started rushing into the classroom before Mr.Booker closed the door.
Dave quickly closed the book and placed it back in his bag.
"Mmhm now Goodmorning everyone so how was everyone weekend?" Mr.Booker said looking at us
My mom got shot and almost died so that's how my weekend went for me

"So nothing happened that was fun this weekend guys? Now do I have to call on people early this morning like I don't want to do that" Mr.Booker said walking around
Nothing.
"Now I guess I gotta call on someone so umm Chanel like what did you do this weekend, huh?" He said smiling
"Um nothing just slept and chill if I'm being honest" I said crossing my arm
"No wonder why that bitch is lazy" Sonya said laughing
That's when my leg started shaking because this bitch got one more time to talk shit before I punch her dead in her shit and that's on everything that I love now.
"What type of chilling like did you want something new or try any new food?" He said smiling
"Well I did try this new chinese spot that opened down the street from me and it was actually good now" I said looking at me
"It's giving fat ass bitch, huh?" Sonya said looking at me
I just stood up while taking off my hoops then started jumping over desk to get to Sonya which caused me to grab her by the hair and that made her desk fall to the side. Once I could stand on my two feet, that's when I grabbed Sonya by the shirt and started sending blows to her face then her body like it's all that anger and hurt that I have been through with my dad not being in my life now my mom almost dying.
"GET OFF OF ME BITCH" Sonya said loudly
While I was completely zoned out, that's when I felt hands wrap around my waist and a soft but deep voice whispered in my left ear which made me come back to reality then I turned around to notice that it was Dave looking at me.

"Dave please take Chanel for a little walk for me right now" Mr.Booker said looking at us
That's when I walked back over towards my desk to grab my things since I already know that I am finna leave this dumbass school soon so I might as well take my things now.
"IMMA FUCK YOU UP DUMBASS SLOW BITCH" Sonya said mugging me
I flicked her off while Dave and I were walking out of the classroom.
As we both were walking down the empty but quiet hallway while everyone was in class then I looked down at my nails to notice that 4 of them were broken which I could care less about right now.
"Who would have known that Chanel could really fight like that, huh?" Dave said looking at me
"When you got built up anger then what do you expect, buddy?" I said crossing my arms
"And what would make you have built up anger about?" He said concerned
"You would be kinda surprised by the shit that I have been going through Dave" I said with a chuckle
"Hit me with it shordy" He said crossing my arms
"My dad wasn't really in my life after he met this girl and had a whole daughter like I'm not going to lie about how I wasn't hurt or betrayed by him not being in my life but I definitely was disappointed. He once promised to never leave me behind when I need him and he broke that promise which he is really good at doing that but it is what it is. Anyway on Saturday, my mom told me to grab my brothers baby bottle from the kitchen which I did after I came back with them. Maybe like 5 minutes later then my mom told me to close and lock the door quietly which I was kinda confused but did it anyway so she took my brothers and I to this hidden place in case of emergency. She told men that she will be back in 5 minutes and that's when 15 minutes went by so I called my dad which it went to voicemail. I heard that his phone was dead and he didn't have his charger with me so I just called my uncle cuz they are always with each other like that's how my dad knew about it. Now I met up with my uncle like he told me to look at him and not what's going on around me but when we made it towards the living room then I saw my mom the woman who is my best friend laying on the floor in a puddle of her own blood tryna breathe for air. Now that just broke me deeply so she's in the hospital right now and I don't want to see her like that at all. Dave now you don't understand like I just feel numb right now" I said shaking my head
"Come here Chanel" Dave said looking at me
Dave pulled me into a hug which I completely needed and we stood there for a good minute while the tears started falling down my face.
"Just know that I'm here for you and will always be here for you ma" He said hugging me
Only if Chanel knew that this was a bond that she truly needed...
