I woke before Damon. I quietly climbed out of bed and got dressed. I looked down at him. He was perfectly content, for now.
Maybe he is dreaming I thought. I hoped it was a happy dream. I couldn't help but want to wake him and say goodbye, but I forced myself not to.
I tip toed out of the house with tears in my eyes. I couldn't help but fell sad. I hate leaving him. But this was for the best. He needed time for himself, to get over Elena and be......him again. He wouldn't agree with me, and that's why I left.
"I'm sorry" I said out loud.
I got in my car and drove off.
I soon arrived at a clothing store, with a name I could not pronounce. I walked around for a while trying to clear my head.
Nothing I tried worked. I would see a cute dress and think 'this would be cute for a date with Damon'. Or I would see some shoes and think 'would these make me to tall, I can't be taller than Damon'.
Damon this and Damon that. I have been away from the guy for 2 hours and I am already tripping over him.
How long would it take for me to get over him, again. Well now I won't have to tell him the truth. It's better this way. The less he knows the better, right?
Wrong! He is bound to find out sometime. Out of my control probably. Should I go back an tell him the truth?
No I can't. I have made my decision. I can't go back. I'm not going back! For any reason...
My choice quickly changed when I heard a voice.
"Hello, best friend."
I knew that sarcastic, prissy voice anywhere. I turned around.
"Hello Katherine."
