My stomach hurt from laughing so much. I could barely breathe.
"What are you laughing at??" He asked.
"The Five!" I laughed " are you kidding me?" I couldn't stop.
"Explain please!" He shouted. I made myself stop laughing so I could speak.
"The Five are the biggest joke ever!" I giggled.
"The best group of vampires hunters are a joke?" Damon asked confused and irritated.
"What do you know about The Five?" I asked still kind of giggling.
"That a witch put a spell on five men to make them vampire hunters. They are extremely hard to kill, but amazing killers." He said it like he knew from experience.
"I'll tell you a secret about The Five. They are useless! They have no skill at all. All they can do is set traps and carve stakes. I can do more with my pinky than those guys."
Damon had this blank facial expression.
"And how do you know?" He snapped
"Because I've dealt with them before" I said. He looked and me, and I knew what was coming. But he changed his mind.
"So what makes you different from The Five?" He asked suspiciously.
"Well first I was born. Not spelled. Not bitten. Born! Second I am amazing!" I said this with a huge grin on my face. Damon's face didn't change.
"I mean that I can do anything you do, except..better."
"And why is that?" He asked
"A hunter has to be better than the prey, right?" I said. He looked at me and then nodded in agreement.
"Exactly!" I stated "Anyway, Third. I was born knowing everything there is to know about creatures like you. I know more about you than you do." He looked at me disapprovingly "Don't believe me?" I asked.
"Nope" he stated flatly.
I ran behind him and clamped my hand around his neck and the other right below his tail bone.
"So you don't believe that I can press this pressure point an you will be on the ground in seconds" I whispered in his ear. He pulled away from me.
"Born?" he said
"Yep, knowing all this stuff. I was never taught. Well of course I was taught how to control it all, but I didn't have to 'learn' anything." Damon stared at me for the longest time. It took him awhile to process everything.
"You were the one at The Grill the other night!"
I nodded.
"Well if your this awesome hunter, then why did you almost crush my neck!" He asked.
"Well yeah that's the part I forgot to tell." I said shyly.
I walked over and sat on Damon's bed, which was surprisingly soft. He stepped closer to me. I could tell that he was starting to warm up.
"And..." He persisted.
"I was born to kill vampires, their smell drives me crazy. i crave to kill you right now. I was raised to kill people. Even though they're creatures, they're still people. My family just let their instincts take control and they killed for fun. And I was one of them for a long time..."
I stopped and Damon came and sat down with me.
"And?" He asked
"I'll tell you at another time." I told him. He looked at me pleadingly.
"Anyways. After that I stopped and changed my life style. But obviously my body doesn't agree with that. So sometimes I lose control.
Damon and I started to stare at each other once more. We're we having a moment? No! Damon is not a "having a moment" kind of guy. But I was enjoying it anyway.
My drooling over Damon stopped when I heard a noise. Damon looked in the same direction as me, he must have heard it to.
"What was that?" I asked.
"Does it look like know" he said
"It looks like you should know" I shot back. He smirked at my sarcasm. Then we heard the noise again, but this time louder and weirder.
