Luna awoke to a lightly snoring Karl and smiled down at the sight of him sleeping next to her. she quickly grabbed her phone from the charger Karl lent her and checked the time.
it was barely a couple of minutes before sunrise when Luna quickly poked Karl awake.
"what's wrong?" she felt bad for waking him up as he rubbed his eyes open but pointed towards his window.
"the sun is about to rise, you wanna watch it with me?"
he lets out unintelligible series of mumbles before he lifted his head, "yeah, just give me a minute."
Luna nodded and walked slowly because of her foot and into the bathroom to speedrun her teeth brushing process. when she came back into the room, she found Karl waddling into his closet and peeling his shirt off.
almost instantly she looked away and grabbed the blankets they used last night and her phone from the unmade bed. Luna slipped on her slippers and fixed her hair into a messy bun.
"hey Karl?"
"yeah?"
"i'll be outside."
"okay," Karl appeared next to her as she quietly opened the door and slowly walked out of the room.
"wait!" Karl quickly stopped her as she was about to round the corner.
"yeah?"
"wait for me?"
Luna smiled and nodded her head as she sat her phone down and threw one of the blankets over herself. Karl emerged from the bathroom a couple of minutes later with toothpaste on the corner of his mouth.
she giggled and leaned forward to wipe it as he looked down at her, "you had a lil toothpaste left."
Karl nodded his head as he motioned down the stairs, "you ready?"
she let out a quiet 'yeah' before she moved her body perpendicular toward the stairway.
"oh no, you're not going down by yourself," Karl leaned over and picked her up.
"you don't have to carry me everywhere you know that right?" she looked at him as he descend down the stairs.
"yeah but your foot is still injured, i don't want you to be in anymore pain," he spoke quietly before he walked towards his backyard.
