"People have been going missing around here Tori." She said.
I felt my heart sink to the bottom of my stomach.
"Really?" I asked with my jaw to the floor. "Is everyone in the neighborhood safe? Are the families alright? Am I safe?"
I could see the hurt in Grace's eyes. She shook her head and wrapped me in a hug. She whispered that everything was going to be alright. After that little encounter, I rushed back to school, hoping for the best.
I got in late, obviously, but the teachers didn't make too much of a fuss. I was a good kid, and that really got me somewhere. Lunch was like normal, food fights and real fights going around. It's sad to say I dont have any friends. No one seems to be interested in me, and I hate confrontation. The only people I seem to hang out with are the old grandmas and grandpas in my neighborhood. Not that I mind, they tell good stories from when they were young.
Soon came my favorite class. Music! I had strong passion for signing, so as soon as the bell rang, I ran to the music room. I loved the music room. It had a nice vanilla smell, and the walls were decorated in music notes and sheets of music. They had the room split in half for the chior and the other half for the orchestra.Class began, and we were just reviewing some songs we were all going to sing for a concert. While the choir sang, the others did their part by playing beautiful peices. We ended up just singing "Beauty and the Beast" the entire time, because that was put main song.
Class ended, and my way back home began. Again, I walked back up the street I came, ignoring the loud chatter of other kids walking by.As I was getting home, I was pushed forward by someone. I fell to the ground, but luckily I put my hands out to break my fall. I looked behind me, and saw Mellissa.
"Cmon, get up already." She taunts. I quickly scramble to get up, but in the prosses, my stomach was shown. "Oh my god! Eww. Let's go."
Mellissa and her crew all walked away from me. I quickly pulled my shirt back down and walked to my house. But, I slowed down when I saw something in the corner of my eye. A tall man, pretty buff too, standing on the other side of the street with a black suit. It looked very expensive from where I stood. He just stared at me, most likely saw the situation unfold. I gave him a quick smile and turned around and kept walking.
My house came into view, but I mentally screamed, as I saw Dan's Truck pull up. I quickly murmered a prayer before I kept walking up to the door.
I was not going to have a good day.
