"Dont do it." I demanded. His eyes were showing anger, but not for me.
"Move before you get hurt." Aaron gritted.
"No! You dont have to resort to violence."
I could see him physically battling with himself to put the gun down.
Confused?
Let's rewind a bit.
Victoria...
After Liam told me about Elizabeth, I was crying silently. She sounded like a great person. And I could tell she had a place in their hearts by how he talked about her.
"So, I'm basically a walking talking reminder of her, arent I?" I asked sarcastically. But Liam stayed quiet. "What are you going to do with me when I'm all better?" I asked.
"Well most of us think we should hand you over to social services, either for adoption or the foster system..." he traveled off. I think he could see the little worry and fear in me. "But nothing's determined yet. So just hang tight."
He patted my head, like I was a dog or something. I shooed his hand away.
Suddenly, David Ethan came in, and told Liam to pack a bag.
"Victoria, I need you to follow me." He ordered. I nodded and followed.
He led me to a room with two older women. They all had a maid uniform, and then Ethan just left me.
Fifteen minutes later, and I have a couple of clothes packed in a bag. I made my way down to the guest room, shuffling between everyone running around.
BAM!
I bumped into a wall- to scratch that, it was someone's back. I saw Charles turn around and help me back up. There was a small smile on his face, and he walked with me back to the room.
"Why is everyone running around?" I asked him, hoping he would tell me something.
"Oh, they didn't tell you?" I shook my head no. "You guys are going on a little trip to New York."
I stopped walking, almost stumbling and falling over my feet. I leaned on the wall, and a small smile came over my face.
"Great. In the last 48 hours, I've managed to get kidnapped and now I'm going to be on a plane headed across the America."
Charles must have heard me and chuckled in response.
I sat in the room, just taking everything in.
How did my life get like this? I asked myself.
I used to be a normal girl. Well, as normal as I could get...
All I wanted was a normal life. Not one filled with a abuse and death all around me. Not one where I was kidnapped sort of.
I never got to meet my parents. I dont remember them at all. I was probably too you to remember. Sometimes I wish I did though.
I'd fantasize about what might have been if they kept me. Or how I would feel, just knowing that I had them with me.But I also tried not to think about it. Because if they left me, and I remembered, wouldn't that just cause me more pain?
And I've had enough of that.
Charles...
I dropped Victoria off at the room she was staying in. I walked back to the living room, making myself at home.
"What are you doing?" David asked as he stood at the doorway.
I gave him a sly smile, to which he just flipped me off.
I knew all about these guys. David was one of the middle children, along with Noah. He is 20 years old, two years younger than his older brother Noah. Did good in school, but dropped out towards the end for his family buisness.
