Jaxon's letter

I always wondered what would happen if I ran away. I always wanted to free myself from the misery my uncle put me in. I never knew that I could never really run away from him. Even if he's not with me, his smell, his perfume, his touch everything follows me and hunts me until today. I don't think I'll ever be able to move on from it unless I end him.
Never have I thought about revenge, it hasn't even crossed my mind once. But I'm now sure that it's the only closure I could get for my own sake.
I know that Aiden won't agree with me, he's all about keeping peace and staying away from this lifestyle, I'm not sure I can.

It would be a shame to tell him that I plan to get revenge because he would try to talk me out of it.
My greatest fear at this point is my uncle staying alive and not receiving what he deserves.

As long as I'm serious about revenge, I need to keep Aiden out of it... otherwise, there will be trouble. I'm not sure I can get help, no one dares to challenge him. Thankfully, I am his niece, so I am infected with his blood, and I can get as dark as he can.

The two of us are laying in bed, I'm struck by how handsome he is. It's impossible to ignore his beautiful blond hair and soft skin even while he is sleeping. My mind wonders how he could be able to sleep so easily and in such peace. In the midst of the attack on his brother's gang, and when his life is in danger, and he doesn't seem to worry. If one of my relatives was in danger I wouldn't be able to shut my eyes for a second.
My heart is racing, and I can't sleep with Jaxon's mystery on my mind. It must be three in the morning, and I hear someone knocking on the door.
-Aiden, do you hear that?
Aiden mumbles while still half asleep;
-Wh..What? What's that?
The door knocks even louder. Aiden wakes up in a hurry, worried, grabs a gun from under his bed. I never knew he had one to begin with.
-Who do you think it is?
-I have no idea, no one knows about this place. Stay here, if anything goes wrong go to the back of the house, there's a secret exit and-
-No. I'm not leaving you here. Go see who's knocking.

He leaves the bed and carefully opens the door pointing the gun in the person's face.
-You! What in the hell are you doing here? Aiden says, he puts his gun down, which reassures me.
-You're not going to greet me? Says a woman, I've heard her voice before.
-How do you even know this place?
-Don't tell me that you forgot we spent nights here together? Now let me in.
It's dark I can barely see her, Aiden lights up the fire, it's... Lydia.

She sits on the couch and doesn't seem to notice me just yet. I put on a jacket and join her on the couch.
-Hey.

 -Hey
