Y/N POV

After what happened yesterday with Reki, Langa, and I, we haven't spoken since then. I mean it took a big toll on me considering that he was someone I knew and trusted. I haven't talked to Langa either. Right now I am focusing on race.

'Even though I am focusing I am still worried about him'

I pulled my phone out of my pocket and looked to see if either Langa or Reki texted me. Of course, they didn't so I put my phone back in my pocket and walked to stand beside Cherry and Joe and sighed.

I felt someone holding my hand only to see Cherry looking at me with softened eyes. I smiled at his small gesture to make me feel better.

"We're in separate groups from Adam, no problem I have to keep, winning," Cherry said

"If you can be in the top two of your qualifying group, you can move onto the main tournament," Miya stated

"Well that's a piece of cake" Shadow agreed

"Easy for you to say when you're not facing an emotional crisis" I mumbled

When I said that Langa walked up to us only for Miya and I to yell

"Langa"

"Reki isn't together with you?" Miya questioned

"Looks like he didn't even enter the tournament" he continued

"Reki won't be here," Langa told Miya

"Why?" Miya asked

Langa side-eyed me and I just looked down.

"Well..." Langa tried to say only to be interrupted by Shadow

"He's just scared of skating against Adam" Shadow laughed out

I grabbed Langa to the side and asked him.

"Where is Reki? Did he text you? Have you heard anything from him?"

He plainly sighed and said

"No."

"I'm worried. Do you even think we should be doing this tournament?" I asked

"*sigh* I am not sure either but we are already in this we might as well do it" he replied

We looked at each other with worried eyes and decided to do it. I quickly texted Reki about the start of the competition.

"The qualifiers will begin" the announcer announced

This time it was Miya vs Adam with some other people as well and I was rooting for Miya. Everyone was stocked about Adam and I am just worried for Miya's well-being.

'Miya better kick some ass'

I heard Adam say something that made me shiver.

"I am not doing this out of hatred. I am simply in love with my skating partner," he said

This led me to have a flashback of when our aunties were hitting his arms with a ruler till it was really bruised. I was a kid and I was hiding behind a corner holding my stuffed animal as they beat him.

"Ainosuke, we are only doing this because we love you," Aunty said

"Thank you...Thank you for the love." Ainosuke responded

'At least his love feels genuine to me but when he is talking about his skating partners that "love" is scary'

I came back to reality only to see the race already started.
