Do You Want to Play in the Snow?

Princess Sofia and her family were really excited—they were going to see her friend, Prince Hugo, and his family in Albuquerque. They were going to stay the night because a snowstorm was going to hit that evening. But they had to be careful because it was cold and snowy, and it was little icy too.

Thankfully the coach landed safely in front of the palace. Prince Hugo's parents came out to help the royal family of Enchancia into the castle. "Did you have a nice trip?" asked his father, King Garrick.

"It was freezing cold," said Queen Miranda. "We're just happy to have gotten here safely."

"You can say that again," said King Roland II.

Hugo was happy to see that Sofia and her big brother and sister, James and Amber, had gotten to the palace safely. "Hey, guys," he said. "Thank goodness you got here safely."

"Thanks for your concern, Hugo," said Sofia. "I usually enjoy the journeys, but this was the coldest journey ever—I'm just glad it's over."

"You can say that again," said James. "So what do you want to do for now, Hugo?"

"Well, I was hoping we could play outside, but I'll give you a chance to warm up first," said Hugo.

Hugo's older brother, Axel, came along, holding a concertina in his hands. "Maybe a good dance will warm you up," he said.

As Axel played music on the concertina, the younger princes and princesses started dancing around happily. The parents smiled as the kids danced around.

Pretty soon, Amber, James, Sofia, and Hugo were tired of dancing around so much.

"Having fun?" asked Miranda.

"Yeah, I think we've warmed up enough," said James.

"Well, we're going out for the afternoon," said Garrick. "Axel, we're counting on you to look after the younger ones, and don't let them leave the palace."

"Okay," said Axel.

"And let us know if anything bad comes up," added his mother.

"Alright," said Axel.

The kings and queens went out to town.

"Hugo, you said something about going outside?" Amber asked. "Do you want to go out right now?"

"If you want to," said Hugo. "We'd better bundle up."

Hugo, Sofia, Amber, and James bundled up, and they went outside.
