"Logan please talk to me." I cried.
"What the fuck do you want me to say?"
"Something, anything."
-earlier that day-
We arrived at the hospital about twenty minutes ago and got signed in.
Guess what? We're still waiting but on the plus side I've thrown up once since we got here. So far the total is twice for the whole day which will probably change soon.
"Crisantha Mirabelli?" A nurse said from the doorway.
"That's you." Logan stood up and then helped me up and she led us down a few halls, stopping by a scale.
The nurse stepped on the scale, "Please get on when it gets to all zeros."
I waited for a few second, watching the little screen change to zeros. Placing my hands on the metal bar I stepped on, trying my hardest to keep my balance.
"One hundred point fourteen," she said while writing then asked " alright hon could you stand up against the wall under the measuring spot so we can get your height?"
I moved over against the wall and waited for her to measure me, "Five six, and how old are you hon?"
"Nineteen, born October fifth of ninety-nine." I said without hesitation.
"Oh your birthday is coming up soon!" She said with a smile.
I nodded and followed her into the small room, "Go ahead and have a seat on the bed." She said while typing on the computer. Logan helped me step up and get onto the bed.
"Alrighty and what are we here for today?" She asked sitting on her chair and turning to me.
"I've been vomiting for the past couple days and don't know why." I told her.
She typed some things onto the computer before turning to me again, "When would you say this started?"
"Uhm.." I hesitated looking for a calendar in the room.
"Saturday morning." Logan said in the corner.
"So you didn't have a very fun weekend?" She said while typing again. I shook my head.
"Any other symptoms?"
"I've been very tired, not hungry, and cramping." I said trying to think if there was anything else.
"You also had a fever on Sunday." Logan said.
"I did?"
"Yeah, you told me you were really cold all day and when I brought you blankets you felt very warm." He said while the nurse typed.
"Anything else?" She asked.
"Not that I can think of." I said.
The nurse looked at Logan who shook his head.
She stood up and said, "The doctor will be in a couple of minutes after we come back, Crisantha could you come with me quick so we can do some vision tests quick?"
I nodded and got off the table before following the doctor out of the room. When we got into the hall she shut the door and we walked to a room openly connected to the hall. She squatted down and opened a few cupboards before grabbing a urine test kit. The nurse wrote a few things on the label.
She led me to a bathroom and handed me the small container, "You only need to fill this about half way full. When you're done, pop the lid on and place it in the metal door beside the toilet, wash your hands and come back out."
"I thought we were doing vision tests." I told her.
"Honey I just didn't want to make it awkward. We will but I wanted to do this first."
