Logan and I got into his black Mercedes and sped off toward the warehouse. I couldn't keep my eyes off him. The way his jaw tensed as he moved through traffic, the way he'd rub circles on my thigh with his thumb, it was an amazing sight to see. These were the small things that made me fall more in love with him every day.

"If you keep staring at me like that you'll burn holes through the side of my head amore," Logan said, glancing at me with a smirk.

"Maybe that's my goal, Logan," I said.

He chuckled, focusing his attention back on the road. I reached my hand down to the recline lever, laying my seat in a more comfortable position. I placed my hand under my sweater on my growing bump, feeling small flutters as music played quietly.

"This is what I wished for as a little girl," I told Logan.

"To be hiding from an abusive family with the leader of a gang?" He asked, making me giggle.

"No, to be happy. To be cared for, feel secure, and be freed from people that didn't want me." I said, feeling a hard kick.

"Feel this," I said, grabbing Logan's hand and placing it where the baby had just kicked.

"Feel what?" He asked, right before a hard kick was delivered, right where his hand was placed.

"That," I said with a smile.

"Is that him?" He asked.

"Yes," I said, watching the light in his eyes, " you still think it'll be a boy?"

"Absolutely my love," Logan said, "We are almost there, sit up please."

I raised my seat, remembering that there will be food, "I'm excited." I said.

"To be in front of the gang?" Logan asked.

"No, for the food," I said, making Logan chuckle.

"I forgot that I told you there would be food."

"Oh, I haven't forgotten," I said as we pulled into a shed.

Logan immediately parked the car and got out, rushing to my side before I had the chance to open my door. He then opened my door and held out his hand for me to take. I gladly took his hand, using it to help pull myself out of the low car. He then shut the door and wrapped his arm around my waist, resting his hand on my hip. We walked together to the table covered in food.

I glanced to my right, seeing hundreds of people looking directly at me. Their eyes were all locked on Logan's hand, resting gently on my waist.

"Don't make it obvious that you're nervous, they feed off of that," Logan mumbled.

"They do?" I asked nervously.

"No, but it'll raise more questions for the people that don't already know."

He gave my hand a reassuring squeeze, "You'll be okay. Stay with Mai and Asher. He's already tested the food for toxins and poisons to be safe."

Logan walked with me through the food table line, making sure I got a balanced meal, even though we both know I'll be back for more biscuits and eggs. I went and sat down at the table towards the makeshift stage, directly between Mai and Asher. I began eating just as Logan's voice became apparent to everyone.

"Alright everyone, pay attention," he started, "I'm sure most of you are up to date about recent events, but if not pay close attention. As of recent, three of our sheds have been raided. Along with that, two storage facilities have been broken into. Get your heads out of your asses and watch our things like your life depends on it. Not because it's your job, but because your life does depend on it. If it's your shift, don't fucking slack off. Any slackers will be reported directly to me and action will be taken." he paused briefly, looking through his notes.

"As for what most of you are wondering, seeing as it hasn't been brought up in our large meetings, I have taken in Crisantha. She has been staying with me and is one of our main priorities. The Newcomb's, as well as a few other mafias, have taken interest in her. She was previously held captive by her own family and was to be sold. I put a stop to that. On top of all that, she is pregnant." Logan said, causing gasps and whispers.

"That is all I will be saying on the subject," Logan said before continuing on to other news and events.

Asher watched everyone carefully while also making conversation with me, "That was a great idea, Logan, tell everyone she's pregnant then drop the subject."

"That's what I was thinking. Who does that?" I asked.

"Logan mother-fucking Caparelli," Mai said.

I chuckled, causing Logan to glance my way. He continued his speech with a slight smirk.

Asher and I went back over for food a few more times before the meeting was adjourned. When people were free to converse amongst themselves or leave, Asher and I were once again getting food.

A pair of hands grabbed my hips, bringing a smile to my lips and I leaned my head back, "Hello my love," I said to Logan.

I reached the tongs forward, picked up another biscuit, and placed it on my plate, "Baby how many of those have you eaten?" Logan said with a chuckle.

"Two," Asher said from beside me, "There's been two on her plate all three times we have come up."

"Asher shut it," I said from beside him.

"It's okay love, as long as baby is getting food," Logan said with a chuckle.

"To be fair, I come up and get two biscuits as well as one other food item. So far it's been eggs, a mix of bacon and sausage, or gravy." I said, pouring gravy over the biscuits.

"Amore mio, mangia quanto vuoi. Dai da mangiare al nostro bambino in crescita." Logan whispered into my ear.

(My love, eat as much as you want. Feed our growing baby.)

"Non preoccuparti, lo farò." I whispered back.

(Don't worry, I will.)

Logan turned me arouned, brushed my hair behind my ear, and whispered, "Good god Cris, where did you learn that?"

"I told you, I've been practicing." I said.

"Just wait until we get home," he said.
