"Right now? I look so gross and tired." I said.

"You look beautiful," he said parking the car, "It's just a small diner anyways."

"Fine."

Logan got out of the car and quickly came to my side. He opened the door and held out a hand for me to take, "Such a gentleman." I said.

He smiled and we walked arm in arm to the restaurant.

"Hello and welcome to Gretta's, how many will be dining with us tonight?" The front lady said asked.

"Two." Logan said.

The girl grabbed two menus and two pairs of silverware and led us to a table.

"Will this table be alright?" She said stopping at a table in the corner.

"Absolutely! Thank you," I paused looking at her name tag, "Angelina."

She smiled and set the menu and silverware down before taking our drink order and leaving us to sit. Logan pulled out the chair for me and I sat down. He sat across from me.

"Have you been here before?" I asked him while looking through my menu.

"No but I've passed by quite often. I always meant to stop but I never had time." He said.

I nodded, "I've never been here before but the waiter, Angelina, looked familiar."

"She does?" He said turning around to try and get a look at her again.

"Yeah I'm not sure where though." I paused, "What are you thinking of getting?"

"Hmm," he hummed, "the Club Sandwich looks good, so probably that with fries. What are you going to get?"

"This grilled ham and cheese sandwich is calling my name." I said pointing the picture of it out to him on the menu.

Logan chuckled, "You're practically drooling over it."

"Am I?" I said wiping my mouth. Sure enough there was a little bit of drool.

I put my hands over my face, "Oh my god, that's so embarrassing!"

"It's okay, don't worry about it." Logan said.

Angelina arrived and placed our drinks, then pulled out her notepad, "Are we ready to order?"

"Yes, can I get the club sandwich with fries?" Logan asked.

She nodded and wrote his order, "And for you?"

"The grilled ham and cheese sandwich with fries?" I asked.

"Of course!" She said, "I'll go out this order in and your food will be out in a little bit."

Logan nodded at her and she walked away.

"What are your plans for this week?" I asked.

"Well tomorrow I actually have to fly out to France tomorrow morning for a meeting with some guys. I'll probably be back around 4 in the afternoon. Then I have a few meeting throughout the week but they will just be on the phone so I'll be home most of the week."

"I see, France?"

"Yes."

"I've never been, it sounds lovely." I said with a smile.

"Maybe some day we can go. Honestly I'd take you tomorrow but the meeting could get a little," he paused, "dangerous."

"Dangerous how?" I said.

I was nervous for his answer. Was someone being killed? Was he going to kill someone? Was someone going to kill him? The questions running through my mind were endless.

"Stop. Before you get too in your head, it will be dangerous for someone else. I will be safe the whole time. I'll tell you a little more about it later."

I felt a little more relieved but I was still worried.

"The other meetings are simple though. There's some things going on at some of my clubs and then some deals I need to finalize."

"Sounds interesting." I said.

Angelina came out with our food, "Here is the club sandwich," she set Logan's plate down, "and the ham and cheese."

"Anything else I can get for you?" She asked.

"Not at the moment, thank you!" I said.

"Alright, don't be afraid to flag me down if you do." She said before walking away.

"Looks delicious!" Logan said.

By the time he could look up at me I'd already taken a bite of my sandwich.

He chuckled, "Is it good?"

I I bailed while chewing my food, "It's... really hot."

He laughed, "Makes sense, it just came out."

We ate and talked more, learning more and more things about each other. We were there until they were about to close. Logan paid and we started making our way out of the building.

"Ooh, I have to go to the bathroom. You can wait in the car if you want." I said.

"Now that you mention it, I'm gonna go too." He said.

We both made our way to the bathrooms and did our business. On my way out of the bathroom Angelina was making her way into it.

"Have a nice night!" She said with a smirk that didn't sit right with me.

"Thanks... you too." I said leaving the bathroom.

Logan was waiting for me by the door of the restaurant, "Alright, you ready to go?"

"Yes, I'm getting tired." I said.

We walked out to the car and he again, opened the car door for me. When he got in I thanked him for the amazing night.

We had been driving home for a while when I noticed it was taking longer than normal. Peering over at Logan, he looked a little nervous. I realized he was switching his vision between the road and the rear view mirror frequently.

"Is everything alright?" I asked him.

"Mhmm." He hummed, still looking nervous but noticeably trying to hide it.

I tried to look over my shoulder to see what was happening behind us when I was stopped, "Alright Cris, I'm going to need you to not freak out, okay?"

I nodded.

"Grab my phone from my pocket, hold it near my face so it unlocks, and call the contact 'Stanley Richardson.' It will give you an automated message. Press the numbers 4 1 2 1 8 9. He is going to pick up and ask for a word, in which you say Telekinesis. Then put it on speaker. Fast."

I immediately did what he said and grabbed his phone. He glanced at it making it unlock. Quickly I searched for the name. Once I found it I called it.

I followed his directions and a voice came through the phone, "I need a word." It said.

"Telekinesis." I said. Immediately I put it on speaker.

"Clay, I need you to get four cars at my location. Someone's trailing us."

"Who is us?" He asked.

"Not important. Get them to me now. The G-1-6's please."

The phone hung up.

"What do we do now?" I asked.

"We lose them." He said pushing the gas.
