*one week later- back at home*

"How's my 13 weeker doing?" Logan asked as I came down the stairs.

I yawned and rubbed my eyes, "Still not moving yet." I said.

"You've looked it up before, the baby still has a few more weeks before they start moving." Logan said flipping pancakes.

"I know, I just keep hoping it will happen soon." I said walking over to him and got myself up on the counter.

I sat behind him on the island and watched his back as he moved around the kitchen.

He buzzed around the kitchen and then stopped at the stove. Grabbing a spoon off the counter he dipped it into a pan and turned around. After waiting for the substance to cool, he held the spoon up to my mouth. I ate the food, immediately realizing it was gravy.

"Good?" He asked throwing the spoon in the sink.

I nodded, "How much food have you made?"

"Not a whole lot. Just some pancakes, biscuits, gravy, bacon, eggs, and toast." He said stirring the pan.

"What?!" I yelled.

"Not enough?" He asked.

"That's a gods plenty! How do you think I'm gonna eat all of that?" I said with a giggle.

"Don't worry, I'll probably eat most of it or give it to Asher. He loves breakfast."

"Most important meal of the day!" Asher yelled from upstairs.

"What's he doing here?" I whispered.

"He's your personal guard, he's always with you," he said with a whisper then raised his voice so Asher could hear, "Even if he's goofing off 200 feet away from you!"

"Jesus man, I'm coming down right now." Asher said coming down the stairs, buttoning his shirt.

I giggled, "Logan it's okay you're right here, you'd protect me."

Logan turned around and positioned himself between my legs and his face came close to mine, "Always."

He lifted my chin and gently kissed my lips.

"Get a room." Asher said fake gagging.

Still facing Logan I stuck up my middle finger and held it behind me at Asher.

"Sir you have a meeting in fifteen." Asher said from behind me.

"I know." Logan said.

"At the shop twenty minutes away." Asher finished.

"Shit." Logan said, looking at the clock and then at the food.

He game me a kiss, "I'll be back later, I love you."

"I love you too." I said.

"Asher, take good care of her and finish making breakfast. Let her eat first and you can have the rest." Logan said.

Logan rushed around the house grabbing his things and left, while Asher finished making breakfast.

"I don't know why he thinks I needed all this food!" I said looking around the kitchen.

"He loves you. He wants to make sure you have everything you need." Asher said.

"I guess you're right, but this could feed an army!"

"He's always gone a little overboard with cooking. It takes away his stress."

"Really?" I asked intrigued.

"Ever since he was little. Him and his mom would cook when his dad was away on business. It took their minds off everything."

"Maybe i should ask him what's going on."

"I'm sure it's nothing, don't stress about it." Asher said, itching the back of his arm

He was lying. Over time I've been here, I've learned a few things: 1, Don't enter the office during a business call, 2, Never let people in the house without Asher or Logan's approval, and 3, When Asher lies, he gets itchy.

Someone that hasn't been here long wouldn't notice it, but I did.

I brushed it off, trying to not get myself worked up  Asher wouldn't lie to me if it wasn't for my protection.

After being silent for too long Asher said, "Let's get eating!" and clapped his hands together.

We both grabbed plates and began grabbing food, "Don't worry, I won't say anything to Logan."

"About what?" Asher asked.

"Getting food." I responded.

"Oh shit, I forgot."

"It's okay, if you're hungry you should eat." I said.

"It's not about eating, it's more of the distraction part. When Logan isn't around, I can't have any distractions. Fortunately there are many more guards here."

"There is? I've never noticed them."

"That's good, you're not supposed to."

I went over to the window and looked outside, "I don't see any."

"You're not going to. They're professionals."

I went back to the counter and finished getting food then sat down.
