She was really really pretty, like crazy pretty. Her eyes were hazel, and she had dark red hair, styled into a pixie cut. She had a freckly face, much like the way the stars spotted the sky last night. She was kinda short too, but then again, anyone is kinda short compared to me.

"What brings you here? Haven't seen you around."

I snapped out of my daze. "Oh, I'm not new or anything, just, back again."

"Ah, I see."

"But I assume you're new?"

"Oh, yeah. I got here just a few months back."

"Where from?"

"California. So much nicer out here. I was never much of a tanner, even though I'd practically lived my whole life out there."

"Haha, I was gonna say, you're kinda pale for a California girl."

"Hahaha, right."

We became silent, and a song that I knew too well to ignore started to play.

"Hey, this is husbands and wives!"

"Yep, miniature tigers, man. Love 'em."

"Hah! Me too! I- uh," I almost told her that we toured with them. I'm not sure I want her to know I'm in a band... I'd like to get to know her first. Maybe I'll wait??

"Uh... Anyways... You just stumble in here with curiosity? Do you read?"

"Whenever I have the time, time isn't plentiful with the kind of profession I'm in."

"Oh, well okay, feel free to browse."

I guess she was shaking me off? Telling me to "browse." I just nodded and began to go for the door.

"Wait, stretch!" She walked after me, I spun around. "You never did introduce yourself."

"Oh, I'm Andrew, Andrew Dost."

"Well, I'm Indianne Vailsen. But you can call me Indie." She handed me a sticky note with numbers scrawled in scripty print.

"We should totally hang out, Andy, if you don't mind me calling you that."

"Andy is cool." I slipped the note into my pocket. "And totally. I'll call you."

"You better," she smirked at me.

"See ya." I slipped out the door and into the cold air. Indie, I thought to myself.

I wasn't quite sure what this feeling was.
