Wings of Fire Eclipse Falling

Chapter 20

"So what's the plan, Quicksand?" asked Kinkajou.

"We're going to meet a trader in Possibility I know" answered Quicksand

"Why? Might I ask?" asked Deathbringer,.

"Cloud, collects... best way to put it... odd creatures, in an effort to save them" answered Quicksand

"Why do we need odd creatures, we already have Thief" answered Kinkajou pointed over to the little fox

"Cloud has a certain oddities of dragonflame cacti, growing under his shop" answered Quicksand, "He's not able to sell them of course, just two cacti could level a poorly built outpost"

"What makes them so dangerous" asked Deathbringer

"They are... unique, just sitting in the sun for a few minutes and BOOM, albino-flame cacti seedpods everywhere" answered Quicksand.

"So how are we going to get them?" asked Kinkajou before turning a low shade of green and added "Are we stealing from him?"

"No" responded Quicksand, "He owes me a favor, for stopping some dragons from robbing him, he's so passive he can't hurt a leaving creature, so he turned to being a vegetarian"

"Let's get going then" said Deathbringer, "We've got a loooooooong flight"

The trio had left the raingwings and nightwings on the island.

Soon after the Sun had set the trio made it to Possibility. 

Quicksand led the way to Cloud's shop and they walked to a shop made of stone and wood and Quicksand knocked on the frail wooden door. 

"One moment please" answered a voice so quiet it couldn't not heard in a room full of noisy dragons

The dragon who opened the door was a small pale red skywing with one of his wings shredded.

"Quicksand friend, you've returned safe and sound and you brought friends" exclaimed the dragon, "Come in, come in, I've got tea boiling and you look exhausted"

The skywing shuffled out of their way and Kinkajou entered first and started spewing questions.

"Hello, I'm Kinkajou! What happened to your wing?! Woah! Is that an albino tree frog in that case?!"

The skywing looked over at Quicksand with a glance that said, 'you brought a rainwing overcharged with sunlight into my shop'

Cloud said, "Hello Kinkajou, my wing was shredded by icewings in a battle during the war, and yes that is an albino tree frog"

"Is it still poisonous?" asked Deathbringer, "I'm Deathbringer by the way"

"Nice to meet you. Yes very much so. It's so poisonous that it could knock out a dragon who smelled it" answered Cloud, pointing to a mask with no breathing holes where the nostrils would be hanging on a hook above it, "I wear that when handling him"

Cloud opened a door and the first thing they saw was a pale white three headed dragonbite viper in a very large glass case full of sand and dirt. The snake has pale red eyes and when it noticed the three dragons it rattled it's tail and hissed showing all three sets of it's fangs.

Cloud walked into the room and said, "Oh don't mind Venom, she does that to every customer" 

Cloud saw their confused looks and said, "After the battle I lost my ability to fly was lost, I lay on the forest floor wounded and almost dying, a pack of scavengers found me and instead of killing me, they gave me food and freshwater, and that's when I vowed to help creatures less fortunate than myself"

"I met Venom in the sand kingdom, because of her... strangeness, the other Dragonbite Vipers wouldn't let her in their nest so she traveled above the desert sands. I tracked her for days providing shade for her albino scales and eventually I gained her trust. Enough chit chat, here's your tea and may I ask, Quicksand, how may I repay my favor to you?"

All three dragons looked at each other...
