Chapter 5

Quicksand landed outside of the Hideout's entrance and he let out a long sigh and walked into the Hideout.

As soon as Quicksand had walked into the Hideout, Sting ran forward and hugged Quicksand's leg and Quicksand bent down and hugged him back, and Quicksand looked up and saw Wolf standing there and he went over and bumped noses with her and they walked into the training cave and Quicksand started to say "Wolf, whatever you heard about me at Thorn's palace..." 

Wolf cut him off "Just stop, I knew that you killed dragons before... so I thought what's a few measly group of outlaws loyal to an assassin you trained, out to kill you, worth alive"

Quicksand saw the look of hatred in Wolf's eyes and he remembered her telling him her past, she was abused by her Icewing father and she was shunned by her Sandwing mother, but she kept her hatred deep in her heart, and now that Quicksand was made a fool and he was treated like a monster, that hatred had caused her to overlook Quicksand's mistake.

The fire in Wolf's eyes died down after she looked at Sting and she put a scroll in Quicksand's talon and said, "Your friends wanted me to give this to you... after you came back, it sounded urgent"

Quicksand unrolled the scroll and read aloud "Dear Quicksand, we heard the Followers attacked you at my Mother's stronghold and we're sorry, but we got a threat saying that Tornado and the Followers are heading after Glory, can you please save her... I know it's a lot to ask, but I think you can stop her, Signed Sunny"

Quicksand looked up at Wolf and she said "Go, save your friends, we'll be here when you get back, and we'll keep the Hideout up and running"

Quicksand bumped noses with Wolf and walked over and hugged Sting and Quicksand flew off into the desert, and to the tunnel to the rainforest.
