I'm probably not going to be writing this for a little bit, as I am working on a new story currently that in very focused on. Sorry about this, but there will be a new chapter soon enough. A new character named Cameron Shepard will be introduced, and some things will happen with Caleb. Some very important things....
Reggie's Introduction (Part One)
Fighting was what my parents did best. They were still married, but after 19 years, I guess they got sick of each other. I was born 17 years ago, in 1978, the same year as all my buddies and band-mates, Luke (the brown haired one), Bobby (the tall one), and Alex (the one with the pink jacket). But now we are dead. Don't be surprised. On that fateful day, July 22nd, 1995, Me, Luke and Alex all ate.... poisoned hot dogs! Yeah, I know what you're thinking, hot dogs, really? but it's true. That's what you get for eating hot dogs from a car motor. Anyways, about my parents. *sigh* So in 1993, my parents started disagreeing on a bunch of things. I'm not gonna go into details, but it was mostly money related. When they fought, I could go down the stairs and out the door without anyone as much as glancing in my direction. So, I did. I would go over to Luke's house, where his parents were so kind, and we could meet up with Alex and Bobby at our studio.
We would practice our new instruments, and Luke would write songs in his head white shredding on his guitar. He was a multi-tasker like that. With all of us together, we made the best songs, like Crooked Teeth, Get Lost, Long Weekend, and one Luke made called My Name is Luke. I personally wanted to make a country album. But, away from the band, the studio, the music, it was just yelling and fighting. I thought that they loved each other. But I suppose not. They yelled at me, at the dog, at anything that disturbed them. I often grabbed my bass and drowned them out with deep twangs and crying. They would go on for hours, until after midnight. Luke often said that everything would be okay. I never let my sadness show to them. I was a happy, upbeat person with the band. I'll admit, I'm a bit of an airhead, but it's okay.
I mean, not really, because they think I'm dumb sometimes. But it's not about the present. This story is about the past, before 1995 and 2020, and about our stories.
