52 [MATURE]

Itachi lazily opened his eyes, he turned to look at the digital clock. The red numbers informed him that it was passed 8 a.m. He turned around to face Shisui – to bask in his warmth. But the space next to him was empty and cold.

It took some time to register in Itachi's foggy state, eventually it did – he was late for making Sasuke breakfast!

Itachi jumped out of bed, rushed to the bathroom – scrubbed his teeth and ran a brush through his hair. He then hurried to the kitchen, ready to start the pancakes when he stopped. Shisui sat calmly at the table, in his bathrobe and sipping coffee.

"Good morning!" He flashed his toothy smile.

"Oh my God, Shisui. Sasuke is going to be late and I haven't even made him breakfast yet!"

"Oh, relax. I made him some eggs and bacon and gave him some money so he can buy a snack at school if he gets hungry." Shisui said adorably.

Itachi's shoulders relaxed, and his heartbeat slowed down, "Thank you so much for that!"

"Sit, I'll make you some tea."

Itachi sat down at the table and Shisui placed the mug of tea in front of the raven beauty. Itachi sighed in utter relief and took a sip of his tea – amazed that Shisui remembered to put nine sugars in it. Itachi could feel Shisui's eyes fixated on him. Shisui scooted his chair closer to Itachi's so their knees were touching. Every time Shisui touched Itachi a hum of electricity flowed through him.

"Why are you staring at me?" Itachi asked as he finished his tea.

"Do you know what today is?" Shisui asked giddily and...lustfully.

The gears in Itachi's mind began to grind, "End of semester?"

"Well, yes. That in its self is wonderful. We get to spend even more time together", Shisui grabbed Itachi's left hand and the older male rubbed his thumb across the engagement ring on Itachi's finger, "But it's a different special day."

Itachi thought long and hard – what could be so special about this Thursday?

After a few moments of contemplative silence, Itachi finally spoke up.

"I don't know what's so special about today."

Shisui's smile grew even wider, Itachi could feel the excitement radiating from his fiancé. He also noticed that a part of Shisui's bathrobe had come undone and it looked like he was bare chested...but wearing what looked like a tie.

"It's your birthday!" Shisui exclaimed, grabbing Itachi's face with his hands and slamming their lips together. The kiss was heated and impatient – most likely due to Shisui's excitement. Shisui broke the kiss and stood up.

"Stay right there", Shisui ordered and rushed to the room he shared with Itachi.

It's my birthday? That must mean I'm twenty now – Itachi's mind rationalised.

Shisui sprinted back into the kitchen, almost skidding and falling. The action of him waving an arm around in the air to regain his balance brought a smile to Itachi's face.

Shisui placed a sloppily wrapped present in front of Itachi. Slight irritation bubbled with Itachi. It was a burning in his chest – Shisui shouldn't have bought him a present. They are expensive.

"I know that look you're giving me. Relax, it wasn't expensive – I promise. Now open it!" Giddy Shisui demanded.

Itachi tore off the red wrapping paper and a photo album was revealed. Its cover page was an angry looking Itachi and a slightly frightened Shisui trying to back away. It was the picture taken on Sasuke's birthday.
