When you think of a museum, what pops into your mind?
A dinosaur skeleton?
A ancient piece of art?
Stuffed rare species or animals long extinct?
What about a spoon from the Roman times?
Or maybe a famous ruler's ring, or watch?
We never really think that these things that are behind these glass cases were once plain old, one in thousands of their kinds. Nothing special. Looked over everyday in their time periods.
But to us they're different and that makes them beautiful or special.
So why can't we see ourselves and everyone around us the same. No two people really are the same, they may share qualities or distinctions but they're never the same. We're all different and that should make us feel proud enough to be in a museum. Don't you think for a moment you don't because one day you will be seen as that beautiful and special. And that day starts today.
