Between now and May 1st: MENTOR SIGN-UP

If you are interested in becoming a mentor, and you are either a Wattpad Star, a published author, or an editor, please message us or leave an inline comment and we will contact you as soon as we can.

March 22nd to April 30th: WORKSHOPS

Keep an eye on the various workshops we will host this year. Besides tips on blurbs, pitches and summaries, we will host cover and POV/voice sessions. This is a great opportunity to prepare the other parts of your Bootcamp submission and pick up some writing advice along the way. All sessions are meant to be collaborative, meaning that you can also share your own wisdoms, and they are open to everyone, even if you are not sure yet if you want to submit to the Bootcamp or are struggling with the May 1st finishing deadline.

Since the Forums are no longer a thing, all sessions will be held on Discord. Kickoff will begin with an introductory session one week (March 15th) before the workshops start; you can meet other participants and share details about your work. We are already excited to meet you, so mark your calendars and don't miss out.

May 1st: MENTOR LIST, MENTOR BIOS, AND WISH LIST WILL BE RELEASED

It's time to meet the mentors. Check out their wish list to ensure your manuscript fits the requirements before heading to their profiles and taking a peek at their work to see if style and genre might be a good match for you.

It's also the time to ask any questions you might still have.

Once you've done your homework, pick up to three mentors you want to submit to. Show a little love by following them and maybe check out a chapter or two of their work. It's not a requirement but certainly within the Wattpad spirit.

May 5th to May 16th: SUBMISSION WINDOW WILL BE OPEN UNTIL MIDNIGHT GREENWICH MEAN TIME ON MAY 16TH.

Make sure you submit all the required information on time through the link that will be made available on May 5th. Late submissions will not be accepted.

May 16th to May 31st: MENTORS WILL REVIEW YOUR SUBMISSION

Mentors will read exclusively on Wattpad, so make sure the draft of your story is available on your profile is the latest one. It should be edited to the best of your abilities.

June 1st: MENTEE LIST WILL BE RELEASED

Time to find out who made the cut. If you were not chosen, please don't be discouraged. There could be many factors why you weren't picked, including personal taste of the mentor. The most important thing is not to give up. We will publish several chapters over the summer with writing tips to get you ready for the Wattys, in case you missed out on the bootcamp.

June 1st to August 31st: MENTEES AND MENTORS WORK TOGETHER TO POLISH THE MANUSCRIPT

That means put your head down and work, work, work.

September 1st to September 12th: SHOWCASE

Mentees will introduce their stories through a special showcase that will feature cover, blurb, pitch, and their first chapter. This will be a great way to discover new stories. There won't be any voting this year -- this is meant for mentees to show off their polished stories they worked so hard on.
