I was floating. Floating above a city. Everything was destroyed. Buildings were collapsed, grass was charred, and several bodies littered the ground. I recognized a few from stories. The large, green, snake-like Rayquaza. The remains of Zygarde, parts of his limbs collapsed into green cells. The white mass of Regigigas, unmoving. The legendary Mewtwo, eyes cold and blank.

I recognized some trainers too. Red, Sapphire, Black, X.

Moon was there, Lunala's body covering her.

In the middle of it all was a massive black cocoon.

Voices flooded my head.

"Giratina-" Moon.

"He will destroy this world-" A deep, unsettling voice.

"Nobody is safe-" Blue.

In the blink of an eye, I was close up to two bodies. One was blonde, wearing white clothes. Undoubtedly Lillie. The other had a mess of black hair, a striped shirt...

Me.

I couldn't scream. Nothing escaped my throat.

Abruptly, I was witnessing different scenes, like rewinding a movie. Some were familiar: a cave, glowing red eyes. A blue world of floating islands. Some were new: a sort of blue instrument, a glimpse of ancient ruins, a glowing, transparent staircase, ultra space.

I stopped, looking through my own eyes again. I was in the cave again. Lillie was laying in front of me, propped on her elbows. Her face was dirty, cut, bloodstained. Her clothes were ripped. She was trembling. Reaching for me.

"Sun..." she gasped out. I reached for her. Our hands were so close...

From the ground, a massive shadow rose, its glowing red eyes filled with rage. Its tattered wings wrapped around Lillie's legs, dragging her back and down into the hole it came out of, her screams echoing throughout the cave.

When I woke up, I was reaching forward. I was already sitting up. I brought my hand back, noticing that it was shaking, along with the rest of my body. I was sweating, panting, but freezing. I couldn't tell if it was cold in my room or if that was just my fear. I pressed my palm against my forehead. Of course I get the worst of it at Christmas.

I lay back down, staring at the ceiling. My previous nightmares had been vivid, but this one was on another level. I was scared. I wished Lillie had stayed over the previous night, just so I could know she was ok.

Surprisingly, my Holo Caster rang.

"Who's up at this hour?" I whispered to myself, grabbing it.

Lillie. I answered, panic clawing at my chest.

"Morning Sunshine..." She looked tired, but unhurt. My lungs let me breathe.

"Why are you up so early?" I whispered.

Lillie smiled weakly and rubbed her eyes. "Don't know. I just woke up."

I raised my eyebrow. "That was a lie."

Her smiled dropped. "I-I had a nightmare."

Dread crawled its way up my spine. "About?"

Lillie shook her head. "Something silly-"

"Lillie," I said. She paused. "What was it about?" I asked softly.

Lillie sighed. I noticed her breath was shaky. "We were... crawling towards each other. I felt exhausted and distressed. I don't know why. I reached you, and you were shaking. We clung to each other, but then you just... stopped. You went limp. You were dead. And I felt myself slip away too. Neither of us had any wounds or anything. But..." Lillie kept blinking, but I saw a tear escape her eye. "I cant keep the image of your body out of my head. It felt like it actually happened. That's why I called you."
