(Y/n) POV

Midterm exams were over, so I could take it easy. Though I did feel a bit guilty for their failing grades, if only I did a bit more seriously they could have passed, at least four of them, Nino joined us a bit too late, even if I fully used my skills, it was up to her how much effort she put into it.
Currently, I was walking to the quintuplets' residence. The closer I got, the stronger was the burnt smell.

"I have a bad feeling..." I thought as I felt a chill ran down my spine.

I slowly opened the door, I took a quick look at the situation: there was Fuutarou, Yotsuba and Miku gathered around the table, nothing wrong for now.

"Oh, (Y/n). Just in time, I cooked some croquettes, try them," Miku said after noticing me.

"Croquettes? Sure why not,"

-quettes? "..."

"Coal?" I wondered in my thought.

"Miku, are you sure that these are croquettes?" I realised where the burnt smell came from.

"I'm confident in the taste," Miku said confidently.

"No matter how you look at it, it's all burnt!" He thought while a drop of sweat rolled down his head.

"If you say so..." I didn't want to disappoint Miku, she put a lot of effort into them, so the least I could do was tasting them.
Yotsuba, Fuutarou and I took one of them.

"...." The taste, as you can expect, it was terrible! I did say I like the taste of effort, but there's no way I can taste the effort in a piece of coal...

"It's really good!" Fuutarou said, who had no sense of taste.

"It's not that good," Yotsuba pointed out.

"What about you, (Y/n)?" Miku asked looking at me as if my answer mattered more than anything else.

"It's "slightly" burnt..." I "honestly" replied.

"I see,"

"Now that we are done, we can start reviewing the exams," Fuutarou said.

"Good idea, I totally agree with you for once," I agreed, I just wished to forget what I just ate.
