CHAPTER SEVEN

Lucas's point of view

I swallowed hard drinking my wine while standing next to the cocktail table with Dark, except Clyde which is obvious here because of women. I can't help myself look at my watch because it's fucking seven o'clock in the evening, but the actual event hasn't started yet.

I breathe heavily as we're here in one of the most expensive hotels in all of Asia where the anniversary of Dark's parents will be held here tonight. They are one of the richest families in all of Asia which is why almost all who attended here are riches, politicians and well-known businessmen in every part of the country. I don't fucking usually go to this kind of occasions but my dad has been out of the country because of business matters, that's why I'm here to represent him since Dark's parents are good friends of him.

Mariin akong ngumiwi na kahit iritable man sa kinatatayuan ko ay uminom nalang ulit ako upang abalahin ang sarili ko nang sandaling makita ko si Blake na papunta sa lamesa namin.

"Hey, kumusta na kayo!" Ang sabi nito na mayroong dala na sariling baso ng wine.

"Blake, ang tagal mong hindi nagpakita sa amin ah, hindi kapanipaniwala na buhay ka pa rin pala hanggang ngayon, haha!" Dark answered him which made me smirked as I also didn't expect to see this asshole here.

"Dark, I know you just missed me because you haven't seen me for a long time!" Sagot rin ni Blake na ikinatawa lang ni Dark saka umiling-iling kahit na alam namin kung bakit ito laging wala na tuwing sa mahahalagang okasyon mo lang makikita at dahil narin iyon sa trabaho niya.

I smirked and tossed with him while nodding my head without anything to say but drinking my wine. I was so bored here that the only thing on my head was to start this occasion and I was able to leave then, when we also used to see Luther going to our place who looks like going through a lot right now.

"It's Dark parent's marriage anniversary pero tignan nyo ang mukha ng gagong to akala yata lamayan ang okasyon na pinuntahan niya." Ang sabi ni Blake na ikinangisi ko.

"Anong kamalasan ang nangyari sayo Luther na parang lahat yata ng problema ay dala mo ngayon ha?" Tanong rin ni Dark nang makalapit ito sa amin dahilan upang ngumiwi ito.

"My wife runaway from me." Sagot nito na ikinagulat ng dalawa samantalang ako ay nakatingin lang sa kanya.

"Luther seryoso ka ba dyan, ha?!" Ang sabi pa ni Dark dahilan upang sumama ang mukha ni Luther na halatang nagpipigil ng inis.

"Dark do you think I'm joking here?" Sagot nya na ikinangiwi ko.

Isang namimitig na tingin ang ipinukol ko sa kanya dahil kilala namin ang gunggong na ito. Alam kong madali lang naman sa kanya na hanapin ang asawa nya kahit na wala siyang gawin. May kakayahan siyang gawin iyon paano pa't nakilala siya na isa sa pinaka mayamang tao at napag-alaman pang isang mapya.

"Oh, come on. Luther what the hell is the reason this time, huh?!" Ang tanging nasabi ko dahil lagitong nangyayari sa kanilang dalawa ng asawa niya.

"It's always the same thing but this time, I really can't understand my wife anymore. Oh, fuck it!" Sagot niya sa amin na halatang hindi alam ang gagawin nya dahilan upang matigilan ako.

"Alam nyo bang lagi nalang kaming nag-aaway at hindi ko na siya maintindihan. It's maybe good... she runaway from me. My wife maybe she really doesn't deserve me!" Ang sabi ulit nito dahilan upang magsalita si Blake na nasa tabi nya.

"Luther she's the woman you're spending now with the rest of your life after you take her marriage. Oo, marami ngang babae sa mundo pero nag-iisa lang ang babaeng dinala mo sa altar at pinangakuan mo na mamahalin mo sa hirap man o ginhawa. It's not hard to let yourself prove that you are worth to be Melissa's husband!" Sagot ni Blake sa kanya dahilan upang ikinabuntong-hininga ni Luther na mukhang natauhan yata sa sinabi ni Blake.

"It's always happens with us, do you think she'll forgive me again huh?" He asked us which makes them nodded their heads but it's made stopped as I can't help myself but to gripped my wine glass.

I fastly drink it because of this damned feeling on what they were talking about now. I swallowed hard after I remember those memories of my ex-wife and what happened to us. It's made me feel so fucking coward and stupid that I didn't fight my love for her, instead I choose to accept her divorced on me. I thought what I did is right but it's fucking wrong that I'm regretting it until now. Isang malalim na buntong-hininga ang pinakawalan ko, noong mapansin namin na sa wakas ay magsisimula narin ang mismong event na kanina ko pa hinihintay na mangyari pero mas pinili kong umalis muna sandali upang pakalmahin ang sarili ko.

"Lucas saan ka pupunta magsisimula na ang main event, ah?" Ang sabi ni Clyde sa akin pagkatapos ako nitong mapansin na aalis nang bumalik narin ito sa table namin.

"I'll be back." I told him while I could see the host of this event introducing Dark's parents.

I put down my wine glass and fastly walked towards on the exit when I saw Samantha and Mr. Rae walking here in the hall. I'm about to ignored them but Samantha call me which makes me stopped and looked at them.

"Lucas, nandito ka rin pala?!" Ang sabi nya na ikinatango-tango ko pagkatapos kumibit-balikat.

"Yeah, my dad wants me to come to Dark's parents anniversary since he still out of the country." I answered her and have a chance to look at her dad.

"Good evening Mr. Rae." I greeted him and he did the same nodding his head.

"Good evening Lucas. It's looks like the event just started, where are you going?"
