It had been a difficult few days, with carl being inside the house still recovering. I have been sleeping alone In my tent, I am meant to share with carl. It's lonely in here without him. The good thing was that he was gradually getting better. Hershel said he may be able to come outside today but he would have to take it easy. I was prepared to take care of him.
A few hours of boredom passed as I read a boring book which dale handed to me to supposedly pass the time. It just made everything seem slower...
I wanted to go check on him, but Hershel was doing some last checks on his blood pressure and his breathing. I couldn't wait to see him! My heart was bursting with excitement. I unzipped the door of my tent grabbed the book and took a slow walk to the RV where i placed the book back on the table, walked out, and shut the door. I looked up and saw that Andrea was on watch on top of the RV.
" Mind if I join you up there?" I shouted to Andrea as she looked down at me and smirked. " c'mon up kiddo !" She said in a jolly way with a slight giggle.
Andrea made me happy. She was like a bigger sister to me, she understood me quite a lot. She was good to me. She made me believe that one day everything will be okay.... She gave me hope.
I stood still and stared over the fields, no walkers in sight. Just peaceful empty fields. It was perfect. Carl needed to see this... So peaceful and serene... It was just the scene needed to calm me down.

A couple of hours later Rick stepped out the house, I climbed down the RV and ran towards him. He looked weak and dreary.
"Are you okay Rick? You don't look too good" I said worryingly to him.
" don't you worry Jess, I'm fine, I just need to rest. Carl has been given a lot of blood by me recently, he is fine though." He smiled lightly, placed his hand on my head and scuffed my hair.  Moments later Lori came and helped Rick back to the tent.
I walked to the front porch of the house, and looked through one of the windows, into the room Carl was in. He was sat up in his bed, he looked happy, he looked much better than he was. His bandage around his torso was still speckled with blood, but nowhere near as much as it was a few days ago. He was looking around the room when he glanced over at the window and saw me. A big smile lit up his face, and the same happened to me. He calmly waved and I waved back. A small tear left my eye, the joy I was feeling right now was insane! I am so glad he is okay!

CARLS POV
I had just woken up from what seemed like a week long nap. My stomach was still stinging. I searched around in the drawers form my antibiotics. I took two and swished them down with some water. For a moment I forgot where I was, I was glancing around the room just to remind myself. As I looked over at the window, I saw the most amazing person stood there, smiling at me... Wow, that's what I missed... Her beautiful face, her smile, just... Her.
I waved whilst my mouth would not stop showing my happiness. That's the moment I knew that it was her. She has kept me strong.
