Eclipse

Chapter V

On the Bus.

Hinata and Tsukishima are sitting together, very very close. Nobody could tell what the 2 were whispering about, not even the people sitting right in front or behind them.

"Tsuki, darling, how long do you think until the eclipse that is due for today?" Hinata asks.

"I'm not sure, Yō. However, I think it will happen before noon." Tsukishima responds.

"Why do you think that darling?" Hinata asks again.

"Well my love, if an eclipse were to happen later, it would be much later than when we finally reunited." Tsukishima responds again. The bus starts getting louder, as the news of a second eclipse in less than 20 years.

"The best view of the eclipse should show up en route back to Karasuno, why don't we stop to see it?" Ukai suggests. Everyone in the bus agrees, cheering and feeling lucky to see an eclipse in their lifetime. Hinata and Tsukishima look at each other smiling. They wonder where they will stop. After a few more minutes of driving in comfortable silence, the bus gets to a cliff edge where the eclipse is supposed to have the best view.

"Alright, everyone can get off, don't wander off and don't fall you guys." Takeda-sensei says, opening the doors to the bus and filing off. Everyone follows in suit, the last 2 being Hinata and Tsukishima.

"Yō, don't fall off the edge, I just found you again and I can't lose you.." Tsukishima says worriedly. Hinata nodded, standing a bit far from the edge of the cliff. Everyone sees a few more people, wanting to see the eclipse. Daichi went to a small street vendor who was selling sunglasses to get 1 for everybody, so they could see the eclipse without hurting their eyes. After Daichi passed out all the sunglasses they all looked up to see the eclipse almost in full motion, but it seems to be stopped right before it can happen. They all stand there, looking up for 5 minutes but nothing happens, the sun isn't moving. Hinata tried breathing easy to get it to move. Tsukishima does the same as Hinata trying to get the eclipse to happen but nothing happens from all the tricks that usually work.

"Why's it stopped? I can't see it moving like at all." Tanaka asks. Everyone shrugs and Tsukishima thinks for a second.

"This is the strangest few days ever." Noya says. Everyone agrees and Tsukishima tugs on Hinata's arm.

"Yō my love, come here for a moment." Tsukishima whispers to Hinata. Hinata follows what Tsukishima says and gets closer to him. Tsukishima watched as the sun went further behind the moon by Hinata moving. Tsukishima pulls Hinata close to him so Hinata is trapped in Tsukishima's arms. Hinata blushes as Tsukishima bends down and plants a kiss on Hinata's lips. Everyone cheers but not at the 2, they are all cheering as they see the eclipse finally in full view. Hinata closes his eyes, kissing Tsukishima back. When Tsukishima and Hinata finally break apart, they look up at the eclipse in it's last few moments. Everyone watches with astonished eyes as the bright moon stands in front of the sun.

Yamaguchi looks over to Hinata and Tsukishima, observing how Tsukishima holds onto Hinata. If you were looking at the 2 lovers from behind, it looks like the eclipse. Tsukishima held onto Hinata, blocking him from the rest of the world. Somehow, you could still tell that Hinata was there. You could just feel the warmth of Hinata coming from in front of Tsukishima, creating light around him. It was the most beautiful and confusing scene to anybody who witnessed it. The two boys stare at each other lovingly before being interrupted by someone shouting at them.

"Hinata! Tsukishima! Come on, we're gonna run around a bit before getting back onto the bus!" Suga yells over to the 2. Hinata smiles as bright as ever and holds Tsukishima's hand, dragging them over to the group.

"We should play a game of tag!" Noya suggests.

"That sounds like so much fun Noya-senpai!" Hinata agrees. Everyone seems to agree with what Noya suggested, except for Tsukishima, who was worried about the cliff ledge.

"I'm just thinking realistically here, that's a cliff, someone could fall off the cliff super easily." Tsukishima remarks. Sugawara and Daichi both start thinking for a moment before Hinata jumps up shouting a bit.

"I have an idea! What if we make a rule that we can't cross the bus, and we play tag on the other side of it!" Hinata says smiling.

"Ugh our kohai is so smart!" Tanaka says dramatically. Everyone thinks that this is a great idea to keep everyone safe and to keep track of everybody.

"Fine then I'll play." Tsukishima says, wrapping his arms around Hinata's neck. "You can be smart when you feel like it, Yō, and I love it when that happens." He chuckles. Hinata hits Tsukishima lightly and the tall blond laughs again.

"Alright then, who's gonna be it?" Kageyama asks.

"Since you brought it up... You Kageyama!" Noya shouts. "Scatter!" Noya shouts again. Everyone laughs and runs away quickly from Kageyama. Kageyama groans in protest as he starts chasing after the first person he sees. After an hour of the Karasuno volleyball team running around, playing tag with each other, they file back into the bus tired. Hinata sits on Tsukishima's lap and lays his head on the taller's chest, tired from running around so much. Tsukishima wipes the sweat and hair from Hinata's face, holding it and staring into Hinata's brightly shining eyes. They both blink at each other, showing the whole universe in their eyes. Nobody around them is paying attention to them or notices the stars and planets in the lovers eyes.

Looking into the universe, through the eyes of their lover, the 2 boys feel at peace. The bus starts moving again and Tsukishima tightens his grip on Hinata. Neither of them speak as the rest of the bus starts to pop with small conversations from their peers. Hinata sits himself lower on Tsukishima's lap, holding him close, and watching the scenery go by out the window. Tsukishima leans down to Hinata's ear so nobody can hear what the tall male is about to say.

"I love you Hinata Shōyō.. My sun." Tsukishima whispers in Hinata's ear. Hinata looks up at Tsukishima with a sweet smile, he props himself up onto his knees, leaning into whisper in Tsukishima's ear.

"I love you too Tsukishima Kei.. My moon." Hinata whispers back, placing a small kiss on Tsukishima's cheek. Both smile at each other, cuddling up together and falling asleep. For Hinata, the first time in over 1000 years, and for Tsukishima, the second time in 2 days.
